GTA V PC - Wildlife Photography Challenge - Poodle/Pug issue?

Tried following the instructions on the wiki and I keep seeing every other breed except for the small dog breeds - poodles, pugs, and west highland terriers. There was a west highland terrier that is scripted to enter the cemetery, but other than that I have no other proof that the breed actually shows up in-game. I tried the loop around Morningwood / GWC / Richman and no animals would appear on the streets anyway.

Population density is maxed out in settings.

I have had one case where I ended up seeing some small dog, I think a poodle shortly after purchasing the garage for Michael and walking southwest along the street. Tried switching to Franklin to get to it, but then all of the pedestrians disappeared along with the dog. Honestly, I had been unable to recreate that so I question whether I really saw a small dog or not, because large dogs can spawn every once in a while.

One thing I will add here is that it seemed like perhaps there is a GTA V scenario involving pedestrians spawning that are walking dogs. But, those scenarios are probably different on PC than they are on Xbox and PlayStation console titles. They might just appear in different locations for some reason, which could be why the wiki information with the screenshots showing the PlayStation title doesn't work, for example the pugs in Mirror Park not showing up.

I had also considered that maybe some animals only show up with other characters for some reason.

pug can be found literally close to michaels house when you drive the street down hill at the big tree
try in the morning during 9am-12am during sunny weather
in the end it is still rng, literally no animal spawn during nights or bad weather like rain for these dogs

husky is the most common breed in these areas pug and poodle is simply more rare

Yeah when you mention going down the hill, I see the entrance to the underground subway station and there is the Rockford Hills sign which is erroneously stated to be in Mirror Park in the wiki and other sources that copy paste from the wiki. There are dogs there, but they are always big dogs. I know this because along that road are a whole bunch of grassy areas with gardeners, all along that road. In fact, it even extends out to Richman.

Also, It is claimed that Vinewood Boulevard contaikns small dogs, especially in and around the theatre, but I have never found that to ever be true. No dogs ever spawn there.

it doesn't matter which guy you use franklin only for the fotopart
but i played as michael and slept in the bed as the pug spawned at the big tree
the pug was also at the location as i rechecked with franklin

If it doesn't matter then why not just take a picture of Dexie in the Vinewood Souvenirs mission as Trevor? I believe Dexie was a pug. But then I'd still have to find a poodle.

best part kicks in when you find the animals but that stupid phone won't accept them for what ever reason, you made pic from every angle and it simply rejects...
ok forget the part with every guy works it is franklin only that is why it rejected the photos ^^

Actually, I've never had that problem. I make the picture and just walk close to the animal I am taking a picture of and then it allows me to send it.

I gave up on the poodle, though. I am just going to have to wait until later in the story.

i found a poodle in mirror park and also found them infront of a ponsonbys clothing store in burton

maybe there is more to this spawn system or it is just rng
while one day only pugs spawned around mirror park walking with hipster and the next day spawned a terrier

poodles can spawn alone or with npc's so simply check the locations from the videos on youtube

the poodle at mirror park was alone and the poodle at ponsonbys was walking with a rich npc lady

Just wanted to update this story to say that I did finally just give it another chance and I was able to find a pug on the parking lot area near picture perfect drive in Richman and also I found the poodle like was said in the thread by Ponsonbys by where the Rockford Studio tunnel is.

They do not spawn anywhere else that I know of. It helps if you get wanted levels in the area I think since those will spawn things like cops of course and vary the game state.

I believe a poodle spawns downhill from the dog park in Rockford Hills very reliably. I got it first try. On the sidewalk, to the right, as you drive downhill, about 3-4 houses down. You can pick up the photo the same time as you do the Husky
