Oppressor II controls
Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to use the oppressor with keyboard/mouse controls. So far, the only way this game will let me fly the oppressor is left hand using WASD controls, then to move the Oppressor up/down, I have to use my 5 and 8 keys, then fire is on the mouse.

Obviously this makes no sense why it would be set up like this to begin with but these are the default settings. Instead of pressing 8 to go up and 5 to go down, I need to be able to use the mouse for this, otherwise I can't compete.

I've attempted to find the settings on my own, even contacted Rockstar and yet I have not found how to do this. Any help would be appreciated

what do you need oppressor II for?

The Oppressor Mk2 is just terrible, and all helicopter/vtol aircraft are flown that way, think of the wasd and numbpad keys as being like dual digital joysticks.

Also, if you need a Mk2 to compete, you need to fundamentally reevaluate your ability to play this game. Nearly every person I've ever seen use the Mk2 for anything other than passive roles has been an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I have met more modders in game who are more courteous to other players than the average person who thinks they -need- a Mk2.

This is to defend myself against other oppressor users. If you don't have anything useful to say, please refrain from posting here, thanks!

You're only contributing to the problem which will only get worse with greater participation. You're far better off hopping sessions and leaving Mk2 users behind.

That's all I can say, and I sincerely hope Rockstar nerfs that stupid thing. It's Grand Theft Auto, not flying rocket bike weenie fest 2k20.

I don't disagree that the vehicle is an annoyance but in the meantime it exists and I don't want to run from people. I've played a lot of games that involved flying, and the mouse has always been used to move up and down. Why this doesn't work on GTA is baffling. It's ridiculous to expect people to use their right hand to operate keys and then jump to the mouse to use the fire button.
It's obvious that the people I'm running into are not doing this. They have found a way around this poor design

I would like to say. I play with many non aggressive MKII players. So please do not lump us with the rest of the MKII user.

I use mine for CEO crates. Makes it so much easier and faster than any heli. Which since I have gotten mine (MKII) They are just hanging in my hanger collecting dust.

If your trying to defend against other MKII. The best method is on foot. Since they have counters any missles will be useless and they can not target a player on foot. So ambush can be your best friend.

With post like this all that is happening is that their egos are being inflated. Instead of crying why not learn their weakness's and then use that information. Once you learn their weakness they will be the ones leaving the lobby.

Is that a trick question?

Again, if you don't have anything useful to say, please do not post here. I'm asking how to use the mouse to move the oppressor up and down. Very simple, either you know how and wish to share or you don't. Anything else regarding how you play the game is great but is irrelevant to my question.

My advice to you would be to get a controller. Keep it by your desk and just pick it up while the animation for getting in/out of vehicles is playing. Not the answer you're looking for but in the end it will save you a lot of hassle and greatly increase your fun in GTA. Controllers are vastly superior to m/kb when it comes to the vehicles in this game

use Left Ctrl and Left Shift to pitch down or up instead of Numpad keys

I use a gamer mouse and used my side buttons.

Ok, that's what I was thinking, that perhaps an actual controller would be better for flying or driving in general. I'm curious what brand/model controller you use?

I would definitely need a new mouse. I have a basic logitech with my laptop which only has the 2 top buttons.

W,S,A,D to move it - 8, 4, 5, 6 for the going the up ands the downs and turning arounds. X to boost when the miter is filled. Shift to hover back down. E to fire the counters. Tab to switch between rockets if it has them. And space does something too.

If you have an MC or join one. You can spawn it next to you with the M: menu screen in the MC tab. It has a 5 minute cooldown though...because idiots abuse that system and call it in whenever they want to grief players with it.

I see people complaining that they hate it. Just because it's overrated. I use mine to get around the map quicker and blow things up that needed to be destroyed for like supply runs, missions. I don't grief with it. It's a handy tool.

I think people need to stop thinking oppressor and deluxo as flying aircrafts and just think as land vehicle with hover functions XD Left CTRL and left SHIFT works for both and allows you to use mouse to look around and shoot missiles, etc.

I like how you can do Duggan Shipments (1 of casino heist preps) solo with oppressor mk2
