"This vehicle cannot be stored in this garage"

So I made Michael purchasing a garage for no actual reason since I'm not really a car collector but the first time I actually tried to use it I got the message "This vehicle cannot be stored in this garage". I can't understand why.
Tha car is just a random car I found around so... why can't I store it?

somebody owns it, you took it..its stolen. If it was me...it would be junk after I'm done with it.

I thought I could make vehicles "mine" after letting 'em through LSC... ok.
So... which vehicles can I store in the garage?
Only the ones bought via website?

If its parked someplace and you have a empty spot in your home garage, escape from the police if possible, then park it in your home garage, you can only keep two in there, with your regular car sits out front. if you damage it, park it back in there and its fixed automatically, no need to repair, if its destroyed, no insurance, if its impounded, you have a certain amount of time before the police destroy it. Online is different situation.

Still, my original doubt remains... which vehicles can I store in purchased garages? Only the ones bought via website?

No you can store most vehicles in there. I've had no problems putting cars in there - stolen or bought.

Without knowing exactly what car it was it's hard to say why it wasn't allowed.

You can't store vehicles from missions...steal them between missions and you should have no problems. Obviously don't try to park a city bus in your garage.

I don't remember the exact type of car it was... it was not very big though, just normal.
And I did it all (stealing, Los Santos Custom and trying to store it) while free-roaming, no mission active.
I'll try with other cars, I don't know, I'm getting mixed feedback here, I'm not sure which ones are true.

The general conception is if it's a government vehicle or a monster truck or anything larger, some types of buggy or some types of mission car. You can't store it.

Cars found Parked in streets generally yea you can store it.


The confusion you may have is with insurance this is a MP only thing cars you find in Street you can take to LSC mod and insure which makes it yours and requires a garage to store it you won't ever loose it can trash it, someome can steal it (provide you enable anyone to get into your cars, you can filter it down to just you or anyone passenger only but can't drive it, or crew only) with an insured car if you dump it you'll get a call eventually or you can.make a call to pay a small fee for a new one to be delivered to a garage of your choice which you own.

In SP there is no insurance if you trash it or loose it or its stolen you gotta buy another one customised or not.
