Helicopters Can Brake Easy
i was doing the sight seeing secret servo job and i parked my heli on the road. i dint know the peds cars would try to push the heli to drive forward. but they did. they were pushing it and sliding it alittle bit so i got in it. to my surprise the helicopter starts screaming this whistling sound and when i try to fly it 4 minutes later it falls out of the sky and shuts down for good. and its funny because the second time i used my buzzard i parked it on the road again and i heard it blew up randomly. it was not a player because i was doing it solo to avoid trolls in the lobby with their cheap cheating homing launchers. so my guess is that a car ram into it and blew it up. would not be the first time since in ps3 they tipped my maverick over when i was in ammunation. but i find it funny that they either shut down or blow up from cars. that never happen in games like san andreas or vice city

Probably because you use it for when you're "braking" in a car.

Helicopters in general are very fragile (except for the Cargobob). Stop being such a muscle-head and you'll be fine. The only real immediate dangers to a Buzzard are jets and homing launchers. Small arms fire will destroy it over time, but you should have enough speed to escape them.

i dont do anything to the buzzard. most of the time if a car taps it then it will start to turn off

Peds definitely did that in san andreas (if it has been there for ~30 seconds), the only difference was that they could take more damage to the main body of the heli.

your way is wrong. "brake" = a device for slowing/stopping a vehicle. "Break" = to become nonfunctional

If helicopter or helicopter's engine gets a certain amount of damage it starts a countdown after which the engine will shut down. There are two ways of knowing that this will happen.

First one is more obvious. If your main rotor periodically shuts down mid-flight. It will do this a few times before after one of shut downs it will start to permanently loose the engine power.

The second one is when you start hearing a whisteling sounds from the engine. The sound starts high and gets lower. The lower the sound of the whistle - the sooner engine will shut down.

As soon as you hear the alert sound try to escape the vehicle. You will not be able to ground it safely from hight.

To prevent it make sure to land aside from main traffic paths, without high vertical velocity and without scratching blades off other objects.

only problem is the screaming starts after 5 bullets anywhere on the heli. and the noose team has sniper powered pistols
