ahhh you lost me at the frame part. how is dpi set to frames? i could not even set my dpi to 65. which is my refresh rate. i could only set it to 200. which it has a hard time moving the camera if i do that
Acceleration is acceleration, regardless.
I didn't say that. Please reread.
500->1000hz latency is minimal anyway, it's like saying that is 2ms monitor is way better than 5ms.
For example some cs pro players use 500hz polling rate, although I only use it because I have to. Besides gamers used to play with 125hz and they had good aim regardless.
As above user said, it's all about personal preference, heck even top quake pro player (fatal1ty) prefered to use mouse acceleration in quake/arena shooters.
While the difference between 500hz and 1000hz is little (in fact, smaller than the example you listed) it can add up.
The thing that gets me about your situation is that you are having issues using an option. I'd focus on resolving the issue, rather than settle.
125hz? Well, we also used to play games at frame rates way less than 30 FPS on old tube televisions... That wasn't an option. You have better options but are having an issue, and instead of resolving said issue... You settle.
It is all personal preference... That is not what I'm questioning... I'm questioning why one would just accept poor performance and settle for less. You and the OP clearly have an issue that you are just ignoring.
