whats the point of los santos customs (single player)?

whatever car i customize, it just dissapears. I bought a garage, customized car and saved it there, then decided to drive it to the mission and it dissapeared after I finished the mission. also I customized my characters custom car, after restarting the game, THE GAME CREATED another custom car of the character and the customized one became uncustom vehicle and guess what, it dissapeared.

Can't say exactly what happened there with your characters car, but yeah the cars will despawn very quickly. I mean, there's not much else to spend money on in singleplayer. If you want to keep custom cars, cars parked in garages will stay there. Then just save before you drive it out and re-load after your joyride. Otherwise stick to the character's car and hope it doesn't bug out again.

TL:DR, it's basically a money sink.

I checked , its not there, it just dissapeared. i spent like 200k twice ( customized the same car twice), and it dissapeared... twice.

If you want to keep it, store it in your garage, then save it then exit.

yeah from what i remember you couldn't really use them in missions or you lose them. The only point is for after you complete the game. Then you go ahead and customize some cars to mess around in i guess.

The other usefulness is to try out different car mods and color combinations in single player before spending your money on them in multiplayer only to decide you don't like what you spent your online money on.
