GTA V launcher running in background.

Anyone know how to fix it?

I have but when i try and launch the game then it just launches in the background again, i have tried running it from the install folder but it just tells me to run it through steam!

Are you having an issue caused by the launcher running in the background? It runs for all of us in the background....

The trouble that im having is that when I launch the game, nothing happens, steam says that im running the game but nothing is happening, I go into task manager but the only thing that is running is the launcher (it is listed as a background processes)

Somehow i have fixed, i deleted a few files in the directory and then verified it, somehow it fixed it, not sure how but yh

yh i was doing that, but whenever I clicked run again and it would run as a background process

I think I just rendomly delted files, I started with the .exe files then just went down the list.

Do you have sweetfx or something similar installed? If so, delete the files for that.

No I don't. I figured out my issue though, it was with the mod itself. I'm all set now, thank you.

Hello! I have the same problem, can you explain how to fix it? I had some mods, but they expired and now i can't play.

^ Revert/clean gtav folder to restore to a vanilla state -
Cleaning the folder removes the need for an unecessary uninstall/reinstall of 80+gb.
