No sound after intro and game stuttering
Hey guys, so I just installed a GTX 1070 today and I found that when I launch GTA V, there is no music after the Rockstar Games Intro (The one with the police sirens). I also found that every two seconds or so, the game freezes/stutters making it unplayable. I've heard it may be a DirectX problem but I'm having trouble finding solutions.
My sound and framerates are completely fine in other games, it's just GTA V after the intro.

Edit: I fixed it by disabling the Razer Streaming Service in the services.msc option from command prompt not long after I posted this.

I've had this same problem with my PC but I have a GYX 745. I assume you have no in game audio except for voice chat because that's exactly what I'm getting. Let me know if you find any solution because I've been looking for one for two months now. I posted on the steam discussions, the GTA V PC Rockstar forums and even submitted a ticket DIRECTLY to Rockstar and haven't gotten any help at all. I haven't been able to play the game I played for AT ALL. :steamsalty:

So god speed man. :KOh:

Have you tried deleteing the settings file? Could be the old settings are interfering with your game.

My Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V: delete the settings file. This will make the game redetect your hardware, and hopefully function better.

Also, GPU's have sound systems in them, try going to device manager, look under sound, find the Nvidia HDMI audio....or whatever they call it, I use AMD....right click, set to
"disable". Reboot your computer.

Uninstall Razer Surround and/or other sound enhancing software.

Slight issue considering my Sennheiser headphones (which are my only audio source for my computer) comes with built in virtual surround sound.

It's not a hardware thing, it's software, can't be turned off and my headphones can't be used without it.

One question I've got is why the hell in 2015, did Rockstar make a PC game that is incompatible with virtual surround sound, and why have they not patched it to make it compatible. Seems to me that they really don't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about the PC version to me.

No idea. Solution: run in high texture mode instead of very high textures. Go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V and right click on settings and click "edit". Look for <TextureQuality value="2" /> and change the 2 to 1.

To be fair, the game ran fine with surround sound software until the Executives and Other Criminals update. Hasn't been fixed since though.
