I just linked a random video which compares the two cars there.
Also from my experiences the X80 is indeed just the fastest car in the game if you compare it to another car on a straight track.

X80 is beautiful and has those amazing independent air brakes :D i left mine without a spoiler so it doesn't block the view.
but, that is for freeroam. when i want to go fast, 7B is the way to go but it looks ridiculous driven as a PV. i just did the new time trial with it and even with 3 serious crashes on the way, i was half a minute below par, that thing is ridiculous!
i would be curious how well 811 would do since it is a high speed freeway trial but i am not buying a car that can't go around corners :P and despite some people claiming otherwise, 7B is great with traffic as that amazing traction around corners also helps when weaving around traffic at high speed without losing control.
there are several long running cars that have benefited from these mechanics of the games physics and have never been patched
in a head to head race the re 7b will destroy an 811 simply because it handles so much better
the only weak point to the re 7b is it is rwd so it is a little slow off the line and terrible to get moving on dirt
people hoping for a patch well you just keep hoping for that in my rear view mirror
should the car ever get nerfed
well we will just buy the new fastest (chances are it wont be your car lol)
His video has the Re-7B as fastest around a race circuit, and that's without glitch. Actually the glitch Re-7B is slower around a race circuit than a RE-7B with offroad tires because the glitch one doesn't have as much traction. And it's traction that really matters around a race track, that and acceleration which is influenced by traction slightly too.
So the 7B, even patched, will still be the fastest around a race track, it just won't have the best top speed anymore, which is why most of us want to see it patched. We want balanced cars and some sort of choice. We don't want to see an uber car that is best at everything because then races are boring, all you see is the same car. Rockstar destroyed the super cars class with the new supercars including the 7B, before you could choose several cars depending on the race and your style that were competitive, now you have to choose the 7B.
The only remaining class that is very competitive is the sports class with the Elegy, Jester Racecar, Massacro Racecar, and the 7 70. The muscle car class only has two choices and same for the coupes class (maybe three), all others (except bikes) have one clear uber car.
if rockstar cared about balance the would not keep increasing the power of the cars

I'm happy with my X80 and I don't regret my purchase, many people don't care what you car you drive from my experience on GTA Online but there are many trolls that will just kill you for the fun of it

Actually the osiris is a better overall track car than t-20. It it is also a matter of reference, but most people i race with uses the osiris instead. And they win more with it.
