Is LSPDfr Safe?
Hi, I wanted to download and install LSPDfr and other things to go with it but when I went on the website and downloaded the file. Once I opened the folder to and extracted and I was about to drag the files to my GTA V directory a popup occured and said Windows has blocked you from opening malicous files or something like that idk I was scared. but I can garantee you I downloaded it from the right website Im not stupid but even with RageHook and OpenIV when I downloaded them and clicked to run the setup it said windows smart screen prevented a program from running so I quickly deleted all of them and Im not sure if I should download any mods :( even tho big youtubers do it, Im just a paranoid person and my computer is very new.

it does have a suspicious program called open candy..
i am safe with it as my antivirus blocks the susp files so i can play lspdfr
but still open candy is a suspicious file which lspdfr installs

Yep, it always shows as a false positive. You're fine as long as you are downloading them from LCPDFR.com and ragepluginhook.net. There wont be a problem installing them :)

dude Im not buying an anti-virus Im not a guy who has millions of files on his desktop Im organized and I dont download often only when I need to and articles on the internet say that windows defender is a good anti-virus especially paired up with malware-bytes but windows defender has some false positives, anyways what do you recommend as a free anti-virus?

article will have to say that windows defender is good becuz its owned my microsoft
idk any free antivirus tho
if u want free antivirus
they wont be as good and wont protect you

its not just about downloading
everytime you are on internet u r prone to a virus or worm, trojan etc,
everytime u click a link , CLICKING A MALWARE LINK WILL INSERT A MALWARE!

so u shud go for paid antiviruses
but as ur wish , i cant contrl you

If you can't buy one (I haven't) then look at Avast Anti Virus, which is pretty good.

QuarterSpin Aug 2, 2016 @ 6:45am
and avast is good right, it doesent spy on you and steal information like other anti-viruses like AVG
QuarterSpin Aug 2, 2016 @ 6:45am
