AutoHotKey not working with GTA V

I can't seem to get AHK to work with GTA V. The script works with notepad just fine, but it seems to be disabled when running the game. Is there a fix for this?

No but its a script, which is also a no-no, as well as mods, or even hanging out with a cheater

true, it's a script. but it in no way modifies the game. It's completely seperate. It's no different from someone having a gaming keyboard that supports key macros.

Software like AHK use "hooks" and "emulations" that are of a similar nature to cheating scripts. To prevent cheating, it is highly logical to block software activity, that relies on such scripts. Therefore it is possible that you will be banned for using stuff like that.

That being said, it'd be nice to see "safe" lobbies. GTA suffers immensly from cheaters and griefers. I'm not gonna argue that blocking AHK like software is necessary, but it'd be nice to see that cheaters suffer from the same safety precations like we, non-cheaters, do.

False, KB key macros are sent by the "hardware", just like any other keystroke. AHK-like software use external emulations to send these keystrokes.

The pub servers are 50% hackers. I won't play on pubs -- only invite only servers.

However, that said, I don't see how having key short cuts is cheating. F'k Rockstar. I'll just get a macro KB.

Having key shortcuts is not cheating. The very same script that allows you to create those key shortcuts is a tool that is easily converted to "cheating". Therefore there would be a crater sized security hole, if that was allowed. About the 50% hackers thing; totally agree, and I hate it so very much that the new warehouse mechanics make it absolutely necessary that you play on a public lobby. At least force it after you take care of the damn hackers! Being unable to use key macros don't piss me off. Being unable to use them because of a security measure that fails to filter the hackers is what pisses me off.
