Do .asi files/mods work in online?

Hi im planning to buy gta v and was wondering if .asi files or lua scripts file work online? So everytime i go to online i dont have to delete/move the mods off my folder.
Also will i get banned even if i dont use the mod online but i have it installed in my game?

So does that mean i will have to delete the files before going online then? That's pretty inconvenient. Is there any faster/other ways of doing so?

Just a note on this: the one legit cheat tool I know of disables itself when you go online so the cheating is limited to SP only

If you wanna gamble with that, though, that's your choice

Even if it disables itself, you might still be banned. Rockstar scans the game files, even if its not being used it'll still be detected. At least it should be.
