Mark my words. This new GTA is going to try to shove some SJW BS down our throats. Although if anyone can pull it off as entertaining it's Rockstar. But I have huge doubts as it's been mostly downhill for the last couple/few years.

I heard they are cutting satire down in the next one.... but that is the comedic relief that GTA has been known and loved for. Calling it now.... whoever is making the shots there now is gonna ruin this franchise with this next GTA title. I hope not but what do y'all think?

You heard they're cutting down satire? They've said that they'll be dialing back the stuff like the trans prostitutes, and that's it. I seem to remember that being a practically microscopic part of the humor in previous GTA games. Not exactly "sky is falling" stuff. Nothing ever changes, there were people actually complaining on forums when CJ was shown as the main character in San Andreas almost 20 years ago.

Yeah, these kinda games provide great comedy by using satire, at the potential cost of getting either sued or threatened. At least nowadays, this is how world roll. But, can we really confirm that? Cause the last instance of satire a bit has been in the speak of Franklin in "The Contract" DLC in regards of NFTs, which is INSANELY bad attempt on monetizing stuff. And hearing people still bring this up, I wish this whole thing was just nailed in the coffin and yeeted to the space.

Well that is the problem I think people have with it.
1. You can not have a multiple protagonist who is going to have a story revolved around latino drug cartels without offending some groups. Which is what they're going to have to do. Cutting back Satire implies and I fear, that much of the offensive nature they will have to explore in that kind of story will be scrubbed out of fear of triggering specific crowds.
2. We've already seen what kind of satire they're willing to cut from their games with the GTA Downgrade Edition. All the censorship was entirely things that people on the left would be in favor for. So it isn't like it's censorship of things that will upset people, only specific groups of people.
3. The fact they announced one of the protagonist as a latino female, combined with admitting the games are going to be censored does lead to signs that what is going to be censored is anything that might be considered offensive to people on the left of the political spectrum, and them really only.

In summery, I don't care who the protagonist is. I just don't want the game to lean any direction. GTA V made fun of everyone. I mean you have Impotent Rage and Republic Space Rangers, both making fun of both sides and quite fairly as well.


Now in defense of the CJ thing from 20 years ago. Though I was in the CJ hate camp back in the day it was only because I hated the character. He was someone who was literally pushed around by everyone throughout the whole game. The fact he was Black had really nothing to do with it, if anything the way he was treated as a character in the game kind of makes the fact he was black worse honestly in how Rockstar treated him as a character. You have to remember SA came right off the heels of Vice City which you were the BOSS by the end of the game, the guy who took charge, got stuff done, and imagine going from that to basically being a b**ch that everyone and I mean everyone in the game pushes around for almost the entire game.

So you can imagine how big a departure that was going from Tommy to Carl. I honestly think that it's to this day why some still consider Vice City to be the superior game to San Andreas despite how much San Andreas has over Vice City. People absolutely loved playing as Tommy, but not Carl. To me Carl was forgettable, though much of the supporting cast in the game were great. I mean Smoke is great for example, most everyone loved him as a character. Let alone people like Woozie. Most people just didn't like Carl himself.

Your questions make no sense. You ask "Care to Share where people are saying Vice City > SA?" Mean while provide links of proof many people consider Vice City is greater than San Andreas. So what are you trying to imply?

No where did I ever say a MAJORITY of people say Vice City is better, so the polls you provided actually prove my point. I will quote myself for example.

^ No where in that Quote do I say a Majority of people say VC is better than SA.
1. I didn't say Vice City was better.

No, I just don't like when black people are treated poorly in a game like Rockstar has which I stated quite clearly in my post. I mean even in GTA V Franklin is treated like a 3rd Wheel in the main story that almost entirely focuses around Trevor and Micheal for example. Again, he exist in the story only so there is representation. ie Rockstar yet again treated a Black Protagonist poorly, for a 2nd time. Carl in SA I personally thought was a horrible character. The game has a good story, a lot of great characters. But in my opinion Carl wasn't one of them.
