That said, there is plenty of info on Youtube. Type in "how to install gta 5 on Linux ". I just searched it and plenty of info comes up.
Step 2. Install Windows
In the meantime, install Linux on a virtual machine and get familiar with it before making it your main OS. If you don't know what a virtual machine is, you just found your first homework assignment.
DOwnloaded the CURRENT rockstar launcher DIRECTLY from the website not from lutris.com
installed the rockstar launcher in the game directory, which when using the LUTRIS Rockstar launcher the game directory cannot be found! Even though the rockstar launcher from rockstar has no WINE it WORKED!
after installing rockstar launcher pointed to game directory which would be steamapps/common folder. FIRST have rockstar launcher SIGNED in and OPEN. THEN on steam, run game by just pressing play button but not selecting Singleplayer or Multiplayer just left that selection window open. THIS IS THE KEY doing this in the exact method allowed the game to ran, it failed the first time by opening rockstar launcher installer again.. but i VERIFIED game FILES on steam and it updated the installer script and downloaded 2 more files and BAM! it ran the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME THANK THE LORD JESUS ! (Spongebob voice "One Eternity Later...."
I always wanted to tell Bill Gates if I could that I would die if I could not eat meat just like other people with a low Neanderthal genetic structure, unfortunately nuts are bad for me like his logic that simply flip flops on environmental issues caused by windows updates, one of the reasons Linux saves old computer systems.
I thank-you for solving your problem so other people will not have to suffer from Microsoft's environmental unfriendly windows updates like windows 11, in-which when they make it a requirement for games in the future after windows 10 support is drop will cause a world wide recession and job loss.
the last windows bill gates worked on was win 7
hes not even a part of microsoft anymore
step two install windows 11
step three enjoy flawless gaming as long as you dont break it.
Just give it another year or so and Linux will actually stand above Windows for gaming because you can already see lower frametimes and higher fps and better stability in many cases on Linux compared to Windows right now and support is always growing and doesn't seem to be slowing down so it's just a matter of time.
EDIT: Actually Apex Legends is supported on Linux since April so yeah, very good sign that we're close to being able to drop Windows to play some of the most popular games.
