My gta got hacked???

Is it possible that I got hacked on GTA Online so my game becomes very laggy
also not even working. The graphics settings was set to very high too;
Or is this a bug in an update, or what is it????
I tried to reset the graphics also but it was set to very high again
I have a high end gaming PC...........

I also know how to use several tools to capture passwords, use BT5R3 or later to brute force networks with my Alfa wireless adapter, and all that BS. Try running other games to see if you get bad perfomance.
Check your memory/cpu/gpu usage while running those games. Use a tool like MSI Afterburner. Check your temps too and make sure you aren't thermal throttling your CPU or GPU.
If you think is malware, run a scan with Malwarebytes.
You might want to post this somewhere else apart from steam forums.
If everything else fails, format your drives.
EDIT: try reinstalling your game too.

This might be a long shot but check in your gta v folder for a text document called commandline and if it's there delete it. Should be around the bottom if you scroll down.

The issues with performance are unrelated to hacking and cheaters attacking you.

If the game is the ONLY thing slow and other games running fine it could be your mods or need to perform STEAM file integrity checker. If more than GTAV are slow then you may have virus.

Although perhaps some karma related results from a technical standpoint you need to do exactly as BreakTheRings suggested, install Malwarebytes run malware scan, install decent virus checker (not norton etc) and run virus scan, ensure your pc is clean!

Then create a SECOND user login/profile (local) on your computer and login and test, if the other profile works fast the issue is related to some corruption of your user profile and you can reinstall steam and run game from other profile user. The problem with windows 8+ is that user profiles when corrupt tend to cause performance issues and this often occurs due to virus/etc.

Here's something I noticed... they just did an update. If you have not updated your steam engine then it must be done to get rid of the jiggies. Next.

also, I noted a build number in the lower right screen as the launcher launches. I don't know how to tell which is the latest, but also, also, if I use the desktop icon to launch, the opening ads are different. I always launch via steam. Never had any hacking issues but when I used the desktop version computer would crash periodically. Still don't know if it has anything at all to do with hacking.

Hey guys. I reinstalled GTA 5 at night and have tried it again this morning.
The problem is gone now. Yes it might be a bug with an update, or something.
Also Malwarebytes and Windows defender full scan should detect malware?
About the MOD i was using so accordingly to google,my friends etc, should be safe.
And I begun using it over a year ago,without issues.

I also completely agree with you guys that you should not cheat on games;
but since so many using MOD in GTA Online, some say that you need to have
MOD also to be able to defend yourself against other modders.
and I did not use my MOD to grief people etc.

I used those defender malware detectors, paid a price for premium protection and frequently got hacked of phished, (fished?) anyway, I think those software thingies are made by hackers. (just my personal biased opinion and nothing I type matters because I smoke alot of ganja man).

GUYS. I really agree with you all. I am not a toxic gamer, but I never should have used the MOD. ( I used it for cheating.) Not to grief players on the server. Also because my friends used it, so. Is my fault yes I know. I hope that Rockstar games can get a better anti-cheat system so we can play the game normally. GTA Online is a nice game too, so yeah. You know. About the ganja, smoke and enjoy :)
