I'd rather just never have my GTA update. Why is there 'do not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ update this game' option...? Even when using a third party launcher, steam updates the game... it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Happens with all my modded games. Fix this Gabe.

sigh, just when I was about to start the game I read this thread. Why is a multiplayer patch even messing with a single player mod folder?

The GTA V mod launcher gives a failure notification identifying the GTA V Version number as incompatable. So maybe the mod would work if not for this auto signification.

i don;t see a direct way of contacting Alexander (the guy who made ScripthookV). I hope this gets sorted out fast, being locked out my game because some irrelevant patch for a game mode I don't play broke everything.

Rockstar should perhaps invest more time in bringing over MP content to SP, instead of attempting to cash grab with shark cards

You could have checked for yourself seeing as you use steam too.
That said, no for some freaking reason you can't, steam decides for you even though you were the one paying money for the game.
They probably do that so they won't get spammed by dumb people who turn off the update feature and then cry about their games not updating. (Yes people are actually this freaking stupid)

Only thing you could do is do a dual install, many modders (single player modders) do this so that ragehook won't get messed up everytime a patch be it big or small launches.
Obviously dual install is going to require double the space on your HDD/SSD.

Its Script Hook V that has to be updated, so just wait a while until the version number on the Script Hook V site changes to the updated version and replace it in the game.
