Do NOT use CleanMem!

Some of you may know a program called CleanMem (version 2.5.0 here), which clears the cache and ram every now and then to solve the stuttering problem of GTA V/Online, since it has a memory leak problem. DO NOT use it for GTA Online. It BANS you. How do I know it? Unfortunately, I was temp-banned for it the same day I installed it.

The reason why I installed it is SysTweak Cacheboost trial ran out, and this program basically did the same thing. Though after this, I wouldn't recommend using SysTweak Cacheboost either. I guess we just have to deal with Rockstar's "inability" to fix the memory leak of the game.

It is not 100% certain though. I opened a ticket and even called the Support, but they don't log the reason of bans nor really look into it. However, seeing how it happened in the same day - it is very plausible. You can also see a few such other people who mentioned how they got banned on the same day as installing this program. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

And yes, I know there will be people saying I cheated/modded. I'll just say I didn't and leave it at that, for that's the truth as I know it. Its ok, as I too used to make fun of people who got "randomly" banned. Until it happened to me ofcourse.

I wouldn't say there's always a reason if it's fully automated. A system can make mistakes and this is easily corrected by customer support reps getting involved. Basically anyone who's human reviews it properly. But that bit never happens and that's why it's screwed up.

they claim they review accounts, you're basically saying they are lying about that. I don't have any reason to believe they lied.

I have reason to believe they lied when their automated system banned me and they didn't do anything to rectify this. And by the way, they say that to everyone. It's a copy pasted generic message. They'll give it to a 1 day player if the automated ban system falsely picks up on them.

"I'm not guilty" - You are guilty.
"Prove it" - I cannot not.
"Repeat my steps if you're so sure" - I will not.
"Why not?" - I don't need to.
"Why don't you need to?" - It makes sense.
"What about the other things that don't make sense?" - Those I will ignore.
"Well if you can't prove I'm guilty, then prove that I'm innocent?" - I cannot.
"I gave you a link to my Social Club character stats, check from there." - I will not.
"Why not?" - I don't need to.
"Why don't you need to?" - it makes sense.

Where is this going? I'm not even appealing, I'm warning. If you doubt my warning, you are welcome to test it yourself.

As for the review system - I have phoned them and they said their system does not log (record) the reason for ban. I requested them to find out, and the guy actually went to find someone responsible for this (took 5 minutes on hold), and came back saying they cannot - as in, they don't have the ability to, not them hiding it or me not having access to it. To note, I called the US phone number, though I doubt the same person would answer.

I mean, sure. You can say things like: it was a new guy who didn't know the basics yet, or they don't provide reason for ban to cheaters/modders/hackers. But why not? Where's the sense here? And how many other people actually managed to get a solid response for a reason?

I have 900 hours played. Many of my friends have 500+ hours played. Few of my friends have 2000+ hours played. None of us was EVER banned in GTA:O, and we use different programs that may cause ban like many people here think.
Question is: why we were never banned, but you guys were?
To be honest, all this "I was falsebanned because of X" thing looks fishy.

Exactly. And the response of "then cheaters would get around it" is completely absurd. I'm pretty sure a customer support rep is able to tell you the reason for a ban without giving you the ability to reverse engineer their software to get around the anticheat. Like them saying, for example, that they detected an unexpected large sum of cash boost instead of saying "it could be a bunch of things but we can't tell you what".

I'll reiterate it again. Something not happening to you DOES NOT mean that it can't happen to anyone else. I have 1675 hours played and it stopped there with my permanent ban. Which I feel is unwarranted. It's also not a bright idea to say that an automated ban system can do no wrong.

Because all anyone ever did was point at my 3+ billion dollars earnt and call me a cheater no matter how many times I tried to explain that it's from 2013 when modders ran rampant and EVERYONE ended up with billions. Ciderfects had it too and isn't banned so you can ask him for a Social Club screenshot from his page to back up my point.

Problem is you can never believe the false bans until they happen to you. I was the same way back in 2015 until I got a false ban myself in 2016 January.
