I Can't Install GTA V Mods, No-one Seems to be Able to Provide Instructions That I Can Understand...

The mods I was trying to download were the EA18G anf F4 Phantom Mod:

The problem is that the mod installation instructions in their respective readmes are beyond unhelpful and pointlessly vague. Can someone who knows how to install these mods please help me with this? Thanks.

This is an issue alot of people have, because the GTA5 open IV directory is a mess. Since you did not mention much in your description, i'm going to ask a few questions. 1) Are you using Open IV or spark IV to install these mods?
2)If you are using open IV, did you install the ASI manager that comes with it?
3) (I'm assuming you haven't but I will ask anyways) Have you installed any other mods through open IV in the past?


As soon as you respond to this, I or another steam user will assist you :)

No prob. So I don't have GTA installed now, but when I use open IV to install something, it will ask me to install the ASI manager, which just allows the mods to be used in game (the mods will not work without this) Mods are fairly easy to install and don't take much time at all, that is when you have helpful instructions, There are 2 different types of Mods; Add-ons and replacement, which are pretty self explanatory, I don't use Add-ons so I don't know how to install them, however there are many tutorials out there. To install a replacement mod, simply navigate to the folder where the vehicle is located, activate edit mode and drag and drop the files ( the locations will usually be in the readme so you won't have to guess). Since the mods you linked don't have helpful install instructions, I will link some that have install instructions, Let it be known that all the add-on mods have the same confusing readme's (why I don't use them) So I will link some replacement mods. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/cf-18a-hornet-royal-canadian-air-force . You will notice in the readme there is a long list of text. This is the handling line. When I install a vehicle and there is a handling line, normally I don't do anything with it and it works fine. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/desert-falcon-f-16-f-blk-60-add-on-uae . I apologize for not being able to directly tell you which folders to install vehicles in (I often forget the install paths myself over time) but i do hope that any part of my comment helps you. If you have any further questions ask me or another user. And if you do not wish to use replacement mods, then you will have to check out a tutorial on youtube or ask someone else.

you are not the only one! i am trying like 3 hours to install a golf mk7 and nothing happening. i press F4 and 2 different script menu appearing in-game. fun fact: all cars now in game are black coloured... Deleted the game
