its not that its a cap more like a limiter at 140 mph going above that requires (glitches) if you want to call them that
lower your and causing bumps (riding on the curb ,rough sections of the highway ,compressing you suspension ) causes an rpm boost in the engines making cars accelerate fast and at high speed that what they where intended to in a way 140 is the soft cap of speed
Really? I've had my Sultan RS (upgraded at Benny's) go faster than 150mph while driving on a decline.

I've hit 180 in the RE-7B with stock wheels and carbon spoiler in airport dragracing.
thats why they say the car is glitched add the spoiler and it gets the boost effect
many cars have it it is just more noticable on some

Except the Slamvan one was patched hours after people found out about it. Game has the ability to silently download updates and install then while you enter GTA Online so that happened for everyone and you could no longer do that a day after that was discovered.

It's not actually 180, it's higher and gets a lot higher with higher framerates but it only displays up to 180 on the ingame speedometer for some reason.

I know how the glitch works by the way. On the RE-7B all you need is a carbon spoiler and low profile tyres, like the stock ones or super ones.

No, it's the framerate. I don't think any standard monitor can go below 60Hz apart from a laptop display. Also, yes it IS framerate because when my game is running below 60fps and closer to 30fps, I can see the speedometer show up as below 150.

consols dont get the effect because they are 30hz

No, they're 60Hz but the FRAMERATE is locked to 30fps. It's definitely framerate, my dude.

Its FPS, I tested it before. Using the RE-7B, at 4xmsaa I capped at 180 (On the speedo) while with msaa turned off I capped at 190.

Actually the highest speed the RE-7B speedometer shows is 180mph so perhaps you misread it. But definitely, turning down resourceheavy settings will get you a much higher framearate and therefore much higher speeds.

the people are talking of speed based on the speedometer, which is not accurate
