remember: you own the nightclub and you want happy costumers, right? so to keep the club popular you gotta do some stuff, right? taking care of VIPs is a big deal, they spend a lot of money in your club - and they attract other costumers, right?
work is not always fun, but it pays
Technically, while yes, you own the club, Tony is the public face, why would the owner do all the dirty job him/herself? What does Tony do, other than telling you, what YOU have to do for the club? Remember you've bought it, you've gave the money. And well, you still do some pretty dirty job (selling stuff to customers around the city) anyway, and you also do some promoting (playing music over the city, littering it with dropplets, sticking posters up some walls), so yea.
But since it's a game and the PLAYER has to do everything, it's up to you, the owner of your club, to drive the VIPs around yourself. You could as well buy a taxi service property in one of the future DLCs, you're doing it anyway, so why not making it official? If you have to do it, then why not being rewarded more? Why not giving you some motivation? I honestly ignore these and just kick the troublemakers out, as driving VIPs around the city isn't my idea of the most fun ever. Getting 10 grand for this, or the same money for kicking someone out? Well, I'm for option number two.
First time i did this mission i went in with a normal car and it was promptly annihilated.
Now i know what to expect, i take my armoured karuma and get the chopper out the way first. But god help anyone who didn't unlock an armoured car yet or some other way to defend.
Quick tip, after update now it gives 50k with max popularity every game day up to 250k. You have to empty your safe and check on popularity from time to time. So it is quite profitable to keep popularity high.
It is a chore. Who plays the game because of chores? I have enough chores in real life. With very little tinkering they could make it much more fun. From story perspective, maybe some particular drunk guy really loves driving fast, maybe he would even give tip or something? What about driving them to the hospital at the slowest speed possible and risking them dying in your car? That break any logic.
If yes, you should know that R* makes bad mission design 60% of the time... (yes this number is from my ass)
Honestly you're not driving them to the hospital because they are deadly ill, or injured, or even drunk that much to threaten their life, you're driving them there, because they are on a rehab, or whatever it's called, basically doing detox, they have to be in that hospital in the first place, but instead they are in your club drinking your alcohol, getting wasted. Since they are mostly some senator's son or something, Tony is basically begging you to drive them there to make it good with their father. Like making some influencial friends. It's still just a lame story excuse for you to drive a guy to some hospital, it has no game consequences whatsoever, you're not actually winning any favor with some senator whatsoever, so I'm still quite ignoring it. No real motivation. The same money as kicking troublemakers outta your club, the same popularity restoring effect with the bartender upgrade not that much needed. Just more work for your money.
CEO: The new one where you have to pick some random satchel charges,go underwater, then drive a long time, and that for only 3 crates??? If it was 10-15 crates,it would had been worth doing it but as it is,no,it`s not by a large shot.
MC: Easily Post Op sell,if I see one,i just Find New Session the ♥♥♥♥ out of there,at this point, why can't we choose what vehicle to use for sales??? I genuinely think that the Boxville is the worst van type of vehicle in the entire game,I still find it funny that as a biker gang, you only have one sell mission that you actually use bikes and not even good ones anyway...
Bunker: Either the Dune FAV sell mission or the Stealing of a Technical Pickup, the latter cause you cannot drive-by from inside the vehicle and the infinite respawning AI have almost Doomsday like accuracy which tells you why it is so "fun" to do it.
Nightclub: Placing posters mission, one of the most boring things to do ever. Or the sell mission in which you have to use the Cargobob.
Auto Shop: Almost all contracts suck because either ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay or because of those 2 morons that keep ruining my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ day by talking on the phone,I prefer to do these Contracts when i do not listen to the game and instead listen to something else.
Agency: Asset Protection or Gang Termination are the worst Security Contracts, the former because it`s always 10 minutes so you can't finish it at your own pace and the latter cause of the doomsday like accuracy, especially the Lost MC one,♥♥♥♥ those guys.
As for Payphone Hits, only the CEO one i`m genuinely thinking it`s not that good,it`s buggy and takes a long time to do the bonus which I wonder they took it out of the game? I haven't seen it in months which thank God cause i never liked when it popped up.
I`m not gonna bother going into heists cause that`s a can of worms that i do not want to open.
There's a reason that I don't fly in this game, and that's because I'm horrible at flying in this game. So bearing this in mind, I find it annoying when I draw the short straw on cargo delivery missions and have to fly.
As to VIP escort missions, well I have no issues with those. I'm not in a hurry anyways, so I'm fine with driving them long distances if needed.
