Lost 2-step verification app, Rockstar NOT helpful

I'm in somewhat of a pickle.
I changed phone not long ago and totally forgot that I had the Google Authenticator app as 2-step auth for SocialClub.
I have tried navigating the the RockStar support pages to look for help, but it says to contact Rockstar Support if a thing like this happens - so I contaced Rockstar Support via email and got an autoresponder in return to write to them via the form on their website.

- However, to write to them via the form on the website you need to be logged in... And this is very hard for me to do since I lost my 2-step verification app...

Any ideas?

The Google app is tied to your google account is it not so why not just download the app to the new phone and get the code or maybe I am not understanding how it works anyways good luck I been trying to get back my missing car and money for 2 days now.

The google app is indeed tied to one’s google account as downloaded app, but even if you did a full phone backup, the backup would never contain any string information regarding the keys inside it. It would just be an empty new copy of the app.

ive downloaded the google authenticator app on my new phone but the codes are not there.

im still trying to find out how to transfer the google app with codes from my old to new iphone
