TUTORIAL GLITCH

I suddenly started getting this glitch where I cannot join friends' games. It prompts me with a message stating that I need to complete the tutorial. I completed that years ago, but here were are.

I tried all the methods I found online, just to even try and get the game to offer me the tutorial once again. I ended up having to delete all of my characters, and once I completed the tutorial, the glitch persisted.

Before that, I tried to do the Industrial Survival waves mission, which has been said to fix it. I tried making a secondary character to start with, but it never even offered me the tutorial to replay. I verified the integrity of my game files.

Has anybody been able to actually fix this problem? Has anyone been just unable to actually play since you cannot join friends, like me?

I have gone and contacted Rockstar Support over this, but I don't have my hopes up. Just wanted to get some feedback before I play the waiting game. I'll give it a couple days, but after that I am moving on. It shouldn't be this problematic.

Pretty sure we all had it, I had to do the tutorial again. It's been like 2 weeks, I doubt it will get fixed so you may as well do it again.

Hopefully, the order of your recollection is not the order in which you did things. I would be beating down R*'s support door multiple times before resorting to deleting my characters - garbage support or not.

As for the industrial survival 'fix' - you did this in solo/private/invite/alone only?

I didn't have to delete my characters or anything. It just wouldn't let me join anything or enter any of my properties until I did a survival introduction, talked to Lester and went through all those first time steps.

I did delete my character before I contacted support -- I wasn't a regular player, so fortunately my character wasn't very high level (about 25 or so). It kept my money in the bank which is a plus -- I think I just lost stats, property and guns. Could be worse I guess.

I did try the closed lobby, whatever that is called again, and that didn't help. I am going to try some stuff today and see what happens, in terms of progress in the early missions through Lester, although that didn't help when I tried it before. After that I'll reinstall the game.

As an update, I did get this from support, so I'll go ahead and try these things. Hopefully if anyone else has this issue, they can see this reply from support and try this as well.

Online tab
Crews
Friend's crews
View members
Select the friend with whom you would like to play
Join Game

Did that fix it? Cause normally you just gotta delete all save games locally an R* folder, play singleplayer tut to get to online then once you connect can repaste SP saves.

He did say tutorial and mention playing with friends. Unless there is some confusion between tutorial and prologue. Prologue is the one at start of storymode - but to my knowledge never prevented you from going online after that and playing normally. I also don't recall the my docs / rockstar games folder affecting online tutorials etc - but who knows - I've seen far stranger things.
