So been a while since I played so i been watching some vids on the new Criminal enterprise DLC. I wanted to buy a mobile command center or maybe the command center at the arcade so I could source missions for all my businesses from one place. I do not play public sessions. I saw many vids about solo money making as I usually play alone or with friends. So after much research I decided the terrorbyte was the best option for me.
The night club is a really good way to have some passive income coming in while I did other fun but not that profitable stuff. so I bought it but there was one detail I didn't see mentioned in the vids nor was there any notification or info about it when I made the purchase.
You can't use the TB to source missions from a private, closed or invite only session. So it's basically about 2 mil down the toilet as I can't use it for what i wanted. If I had known that I wouldn't have bought it.
I googled it and apparently I wasn't the only player caught off guard by this. I've seen it posted that it was a bug but i don't know how credible that was.
So are all the mobile command centers like that? the big truck, the Avenger and the command center at the arcade? are they all only able to source missions in public sessions?
Is this a bug that RSG will fix or do they intend it to be that way?

It's been a long while since I've played too. Pretty much got everything, up to the Casino stuff, anyways. Only things I can remember about the Arcade, is that you can use the Drone anytime you want, and I believe you can solo some of the stuff involving arcade as well, but hopefully someone will refresh my memory of that.

I used to use the Terrorbyte to grind RP in solo public sessions during 2x Special cargo weeks and it worked great.
but if you insist on doing it in invite only then you should get the 8Bit arcade and buy the master control terminal. After each sell mission you can just job teleport to the arcade using the parachute job behind the arcade or use Lester's heist text to teleport to the Eclipse Tower.

So are you saying I can use the source missions option in the terrorbyte when in a solo session? I couldn't even register as a CEO in solo. What exactly are you calling a solo public session? My understanding was public sessions weren't solo. Public sessions let everyone in, the hood the bad and the ugly lol. So I wouldn't consider that solo.
Also am I understanding you are saying all the mobile command centers have the same public session restrictions but NOT the master control terminal? That's what I was trying to accomplish. Being able to source missions for all my businesses from one place in a private session without having to continuously switch back and forth from MC prez to CEO.

google is your best friend

1. Once players have started up a public lobby, they must open the Task Manager. Here, they must open the Performance tab and select Open Resource Monitor at the bottom.
2. Now, players must right-click on GTA5.exe and select Suspend Process. They must keep the game suspended for 10 to 12 seconds, and not more than that.
3. After 10 to 12 seconds have passed, players must resume the process and return to the game.

nobody said anything about solo sessions.
Its either invite only or public session using the method above.
In solo Public sessions you should be able to use the Terrorbyte to start source missions.
In invite only sessions you could use the arcade as I mentioned in my previous post

It should get fixed with next update. So yeah, for now you can just make solo public if you want to use TB. As a bonus, terrorbyte doesn't give you Lupe's missions for special cargo in case you do that.

You say right in the first line "RP in solo public sessions" I'm confused wtf is a solo public session? Do you mean you play alone in a public session with any other player that might be there? Or can you pick solo after "find a new session " and then make it public but you'll still be the only player in that session. Sorry, I'm not trying to be obtuse, just trying to make sure I understand what you mean.
And I do insist on only playing with people I know. I've experienced so much toxicity and trolls and griefing and just jerks in GTA V before that I am never doing that again.
And thanks for the master command info. I almost went with the arcade. If I had known about the public restrictions, I would have. Although the above commenter says they're gonna fix it, so no worries. I appreciate your help. 👍

Thank you, I still don't understand what making a solo session public means. Is that different than just joining a public session alone? Yeah I'm having brain farts.

A solo public session means just that your in a public session by yourself just Google how to do it baby

OP, I think you are confusing the sessions.

- SOLO is a worthless session mode, half the stuff does not work.
- INVITE ONLY is the session type you want to use when playing alone. Almost everything works. I would swear that the Terrorbyte works fine and that I used it parked outside my crate warehouse to source crates.
- Ah yes, you can use Guardian too, if you want to run a PUBLIC session in private mode. A bit messy for the initial setup but it lets you have a fully public session with just you and your friends in it.

And even if you can't use it to source for some reason, it has a very important use: It lets you buy the Oppressor MK2. Very expensive but it is easily the most useful vehicle for solo gameplay.

R* forgot TB so you can't source in invite only.
But before R* took 9 years to unlock business from public, there was this thing called "suspend gta5.exe for 10s" or "ports blocking".

Fyi crates suck, don't waste your time.

So you can't buy the oppressor unless you have the TB? And thanks for all that info. I'm pretty sure I tried invite only and it was the same. Someone posted on, I think, Reddit that it used to work but an update messed it up, dunno if that's true
