I can't be the only whose memories of GTA are filled with endless hours of driving a Kaufmann Cab up and down Vice City.... Has Rockstar missed something with GTA 5? Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to do taxi missions in GTA 5 online? RPGs flying around you, gunfights to the left and right, all while you just try to complete your fare?

I'm not even asking for actual missions here, just the possibility of hopping in a cab and being able to then press a button to become a cab driver, then suddenly NPCS who want to go somewhere get highlighted.

I'd be happy with just that, but the possibilities are endless! Can you imagine signing up to be a cop? Crusing around, waiting till someone does something to warrant a couple of stars, then they get highlighted on your minimap, and so long as they've got over two, then you're free to shoot on sight!

Ambulances could work in a similar fashion.

There's so much potential to even add an actual storyline here, like your character has to sign up, becomes somewhat of a crooked cop, helps some new storyline NPC retrieve the file, drugs, out weapons from the police station once you work up a certain rank! Once that storyline is over you could still keep the option to get back in a police car and start hunting randoms. If you achieve a certain rank the game could allow you to actually buy a police car which you could mod, make it quicker or change the livery, so it's not longer "too hot"?

The cab's missions could even basically be a rehashed Kaufman cabs, where you and some new storyline NPC decide what you need to get cash is an taxi company to bump the competition out, maybe they're peddling drugs in your area, I don't know.

But there's just something so amazing in the worlds that Rockstar create that it's a shame we don't have these sort of missions, designed to almost immerse the player in an everyday in game life.
Like I said above, some of the happiest memories I have of playing Vice City is just crusing some strip club to mall, then across the bridge to the port, then up to the police station, blaring Espantoso while the sun sets.

I really hope Rockstar come out with something like this in a future DLC.

I mean I already have some sort of taxi "service". I just drive arround people and don't get any money for doing it. But I've always dreamt of having a taxi service worth 15 million dollars just to get 5 dollars a ride.
