GTA V Save File transfer from PC to Steam Deck

Hello,

I recently installed GTA V on my Steam Deck and transferred my save thought both the a zip file via Google Drive and the SSHD Method but when I go to play the game it starts be from the beginning of the game. What went wrong and how do I fix the issue??

Have you tried to load savegame? There are other files that control the 'already did prologue' or not. What files did you move? Just sgta*'s or also pc_settings.bin, possibly cfg.dat, and whatever else. Only speaking from memory there after doing some testing with saves but it still putting me a prologue. Obviously, the saves need to be in the right location too.

Also possible you could just turn on cloudsave on the pc, put your saves in the cloud, and enable it on the steamdeck and let it pull them down that way.

I completed the game on my PC and transferred the entire Rockstar Games Folder from my PC to my Steam Deck.
I've got the cloudsave enabled but that did nothing. How do I enable the cloudsave on my Steam Deck??

It you moved the whole folder it 'should' already be enabled.
We are talking my documents / rockstar games folder?
Or just my docs / rockstar games / gtav / profiles / <profilename>

If cloudsavedata.dat doesn't exist - it 'should' ask to enable on startup.
You can also open the socialui, and in the settings there is an option to turn it on.
How this works on the steamdeck - got me, don't have one to test/look at currently.

1) Yes the entire Folder from PC to Steam Deck.
2) I see the Cloudsave.dat file in my PC version of the Rockstar Games folder.
3) I will try and click on the right option after I re-install the game for the third time.

Ok Update I did the Cloudsave Enable and it still puts me in the beginnings of the game. I don't know what to do to get the Save file from my PC to get onto my Steam Deck. Any help would be nice.

Do the beginning of the game then it takes literally a few minutes and then look if it syncs

You mean the prologue or the first mission with Franklin and Lamar??

I am experiencing similar issue where my saved game on steam deck does not sync with pc, any ideas?
