How do you find the hatchet in story mode?

There's a topic on GTAForums where guy helps people with getting the Returing Player content.

All you need is an PSN or XBox account and have somebody use it to play the "Prologue" on the old PS3/XBox360 version.
Then link that account to your Social Club.

There's some guy on GTAforums who does this.

Hi Man, i have a problem, i got the game for free from epic games store, i cant unlock hatchet, but i have monkey mosaics, its weird.

Are you a returning player?
Do you have a PSN or XBox account linked, which was used to play the game?

If not, you can't access those returning player bonuses.

The monkey mosaics are part of the game world and always visible (even in onlinel, regardless if you're a returning player or not.
You just can't interact with them.
