Crime scenes (M16 unlock) not spawning?

Yesterday I started looking for crime scene random events to unlock new M16 rifles. After 20 minutes in Invite Only session I found one in Paleto Bay. And that's it. I changed sessions multiple times, waited 20-30 minutes and nothing happened. Today I also tried looking for them, this time in public lobby - no luck at all. Is this event bugged? Or maybe we are allowed to pick just one rifle part in a (real) day?

Well it still is a random event. Probably game just queues different event. Reason why you need to change the session to nuke it.

"Random" spawn seems to be extremely low. Not worth the trouble of doing at this time unless you are into PvP and want an early advantage.

You could probably earn 10-100 times the money that it will eventually sell for in the time that it will take to find the 5 pieces.

did this today.
annoying cooldown of 20 min until you get a chance to spawn it at one of the location
zorga mentioned there is another 30min cooldown if you stay in the same session

it took me around 4 hours and 2 of the parts were invisible, it is a little bit annoying when you kill the cops and one of them ends up on top of the part...

also tried yesterday and only managed to find one part during the whole process of collecting the 100 packages

the method to switch session after every incident worked better for me.

i used the mk2 and kept at streets, while going slowly the last 100m, give the game some time to spawn the stuff, similiar to trying to spawn a helicopter in pac standard final

i didnt get it yet just gona wait for it natually, but i hear its the most op gun yet

Having just got the last part, 2 yesterday and 3 today, what cruste says appears to be accurate...at least for me. I also noticed that the crime scenes spawned quicker when I wasn't registered as a CEO or MC President. YMMV

I have to say, the sound of the M16....probably the best music in the game.

Spend the day a couple hours with 2 friends. We needed around 4 or 5 hours to get all parts together.

i still havent seen the plane crash random event from last week

got the gun but problem is it doesn't go in the gun locker atm

also only 60 rounds max, all my other rifles have 100 rounds

yeah once you get your first you gotta wait 20 to 30 min till the next one spawns, but some people have mentioned it took longer.I did notice it would appear after other stuff started to pop, like blue dots for cars, phone booth missions etc...but not immediately.
