Game Crashes Help?
Recently, my GTA 5 has been crashing when I start to load story mode. I do not have any mods installed. I start loading the story mode but it crashes after awhile. I've tried running it in safe mode, but it didn't work. I reinstalled multiple times and had my antivirus turned off. but it still wouldn't fix it. I'd appreciate if I could get some help with my issue! (I previously played GTA 5 perfectly fine but it randomly started crashing)

The log says no - its comparing savegame file sizes.
The link also says use local for saves while testing.

Did you run msconfig and disable every NON-ms service AND startup application?

Are you actually doing steps 1 through 5 in that link? They literally kill the vast majority of gtav issues / os / driver related issues - wipe mods, correct the gtav folder.. etc etc.

And - glancing at your log again - I see Onedrive. It "can" cause problems. -.-
I'd look at disabling it to test, and making sure my documents is using the default location.
I think the lower half of the code 9 link on my profile covers that.

Have to afk/dinner/etc -.-

happens to me a lot. Don't know what it is.

@op - in your case - you aren't even fully updated. (both game, and social club versions)
And the date in the log file has me question your pc's date/time - or your.. telling of events.

Using/used mods? Heck, even if you haven't used mods... do this- (steam version only)
Rightclick gtav in steam, properties, local files, browse local files-
Steam version - Delete anything that is NOT a folder and is NOT a .RPF file. Verify cache.
(If steam/gtav doesn't automatically install social club when you start it after verify...
Open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/installers - rightclick socialclubsetup - run as admin)

Hopefully you've gotten the new update.
It will appear in my documents / rockstar games / gtav / launcher.log as---
"Version: |1.0.1365.1|1.2.3.8|1.0.1365.1|FSP"

If you did the bottom link..and the steps link inside that... you'd see that more than a single log is requested at step 5. There is also a 255(ff) link on my profile.
Atleast the versions are correct this time and producing an actual error code to "work" with.

Did you rename my documents / rockstar games to rockstar games-old? (step 2)
The log says no - its comparing savegame file sizes.
The link also says use local for saves while testing.

Did you run msconfig and disable every NON-ms service AND startup application?

Are you actually doing steps 1 through 5 in that link? They literally kill the vast majority of gtav issues / os / driver related issues - wipe mods, correct the gtav folder.. etc etc.

And - glancing at your log again - I see Onedrive. It "can" cause problems. -.-
I'd look at disabling it to test, and making sure my documents is using the default location.
I think the lower half of the code 9 link on my profile covers that.

Have to afk/dinner/etc -.-

I completed all the steps, but ran GTA V twice, creating the rockstar games file again, however, I didn't read where you said to use local saves instead of cloud saves. By deleting social club and reinstalling and setting it to local saves, it fixed my game. Thank you!
