How do I summon my submarine?

I'm a solo player who just bought a sub doing my usual grind. Cost me like 9 million to max out, but I've heard the heist it unlocks can be done solo. I do have a problem though, I can't figure out how to call my sub using the services option. Do I need to be near a specific area in the water the first time to call it?

I've been doing my usual grind (I own a lot of little businesses and a nighclub) and have hit 2 million again, am wondering if there is any special equipment I'm going to need for this heist. I notice in the stores there are all these military vehicles for sale that are part of the expansion the sub is also from, do I need to save up for a tank or something to do this solo?

you dont need anymore vehicles. But if you wanna solo fast always make sure you have OP MKII

I tried that and it wasn't working. I just logged out, maybe when i restart it will work.

I do have the OP MK II, so maybe I'll get some decent use out of it here! Since I don't generally fight other players, I mostly just use it as a fancy taxi between my businesses.

It gets a bit glitchy sometimes (or so I found) If you get off/out of your personal vehicle, you'll probably see the map icon for your sub on top of the vehicle icon, you'll need to return/resummon the sub, or return the personal vehicle to storage.

When I play solo doing the preps for some of the Heist, when I have to scuba and get multiple crates underwater I like to use the APC as a diving platform. In conjunction with calling a Merryweather chopper Back-up it makes getting the stuff and dealing with pop outta nowhere NPC Choppers a little less of a headache. I call in either the CEO Buzzard or the Sparrow from the Sub to back and forth from where I leave the APC and where I need to deliver.

If your looking for Vehicles that might help you ... that's one I use.

Thanks for the advice, I might do that. I've got a little over 3 million saved up again from running my businesses, but was planning on investing in the new security company when I had enough (was hoping the heist would let me do that). If I have problems doing the heist with what I have I will certainly consider trying your strategy though, as the APC does appear to be a beast.

I think you have to be somewhere near water (not in the water, but in a place next to ocean, a beach would be perfect), then request the Kosatka through the Interaction Menu (M), you can also request a free Dinghy to drive towards the Kosatka, and you should be able to see it's icon in the water. That works everytime for me. Go to the beach, request the Kosatka, Dinghy and swimm/drive to your sub. Works like a charm.

Thanks for response, I got it to work, but didn't have much of a chance to play today (though I've commented on the forums a bit). I was obviously glitched, re-starting the game allowed me to call it and get to it.

Originally I didn't know about the free Dinghy, so what I wound up doing was running drug delivery missions until I got a speed boat delivery. Then I tried again from out in the water when I was done, and it appeared pretty close to me. I wound up walking along the top of it a bit before I found the door, but now I've figured it out.

Since I've seen the cut scene I was able to set my login to the sub since I plan to try the heist prep next time I play (see how many times I die and how frustrated I get). Next time I have to call it I shouldn't have any problems I think. When I wrote the original message I was hitting the command and it just wouldn't spawn no matter what I did.... including going out into the ocean on a jet ski.

Yea, glitches happen, good 'ol R*. XD
A bit of advise, get a friend to play the Heist the first time, it's more fun and honestly my friend helped me a lot to go through the INTEL phase, scooping the island. Two pairs of eyes see more, than one.
Anyway I'm glad it works for you and have fun, the sub is amazing, even outside the Heist.

I totally agree with DEAD MEAT...I think the APC is very under rated and maybe its because it is slower than some of the other armored vehicles available. It does however provide you with good protection during play and allows occupants to fire weapons thru the windows and also allows you as the driver to easily switch to the cannon which will destroy anything you can hit and the land/water feature gives you option for escaping.
