never played gta game just wonder after 7 years what do people usually do on the game

Play alone. Play with friends. Suffer OCD. Collect all the stuff. Grind. Whine, complain, curse, or have fun. Suffer OCD. Play the various game modes/heists. Help other. Grief others. Harass others. Make friends. Suffer from a version of sunk cost fallacy. Mod story mode, play fivem/rp. Struggle to get the game to even work. S&M. Make fat stacks. Wish the game was better. Habit. Nothing better to do. Burp in the mic, pretend they're a DJ. Spam money/cheat adverts. Not answer phonecalls. Stare at black/loading screens. I'm sure there is plenty more. The game is your oyster.

It's a Sandbox.
It's a Sandbox most Gamer's have and are familiar with.
It's not uncommon for me to meet other Gamer's doing other activities and then gravitate to GTA5 at some point.
It sometimes is the gaming common denominator between Friends, with different interest in general.
It's standard gaming fare.

- Do car delivery missions when available or send my worker
- Dance
- Watch a movie
- Shower
- Drive the map for awhile
- Get a Lap Dance or three
- Pay for a prostitute
- Do treasure hunts
- Drink
- Smoke
- Eat
- Race solo races
- Play Golf
- Play Darts
- Go swimming
- Planning on eventually buying a boat
- Planning on eventually buying something that flies
- Steal cars and sell them (or keep them)
- Beat up blue dots npc's to deliver drugs or return items
- Steal money from the sleeping npc's
- Call a stripper to my apt to dance for me
- Beat up npc's and steal their money, followed by running from the cops
- Visit the LS Car Meet
- Visit the Casino for a wheelspin
- Chill in a hot tub

Want:
- Eat at a restaurant
- Go fishing

Also in addition, there is tennis, golf, arm wrestling, treasure hunting, racing and flying events, buy real estate and lots more.

If you haven't played the single player campaign, it's worth the store price in that itself, but don't expect an amazing experience online unless you learn how to pause and resume your game process (for 10 seconds) to go solo and invite friends. People can still join the public session, but generally it's a bit of a better experience. If someone comes in and wrecks the session, rinse and repeat the session pause and resume.
