Barrage/upgrading

How would I upgrade something (such as the barrage, adding different guns) without buying the bunker (and the M.O.C) or the avenger?

you won't able to upgrade any weapon vehicle without one of these

You can't, you need the MOC or the avenger both of which require a bunker. It's worth it though as the bunker is very good as a passive business, even better than the MC stuff.

All Doomsday weaponized vehicle are upgraded in the facility's workshop mechanic. That's what happened when I purchased HVY Avenger.

Are you sure it's all weaponized vehicles? The Avenger may well be different from the others as obviously it can't require you to have an avenger/moc to upgrade your avenger/moc xD. I saw a video where the guy was upgrading his barrage in the avenger so I'm guessing you can't upgrade it in the facility workshop just as you can only upgrade the moc in the bunker workshop.
