Every time I've entered Public Mode (PlayStation 4), I've run into some sort of Hacker. I even got my Identity Stolen... Yes, through GTA-V Online Public Mode. Sony looked into it, but it took about 6 Months for the Local Police to finish their investigation. My ISP actually Blocked the GTA-V Online Servers for several Months.
I fell victim to DNS Spoofing, and had my ID Stolen. So yes, Cyber Security needs to be Improved a lot.
Please Note:
I define a difference between HACKS and MODS. MOD's are expressions of Creativity, exclusive to Single Player ONLY. While Hacks are simply iterations of Stupidity.
LOL
turn a night light on for em'
leave the door cracked
give em' a Teddy Bear or something
tell them a bed-time story
Check under the bed for the Boogie Man
The majority of games is in fact peer-to-peer, as most console games don't bother investing in dedicated servers, since they have an extra layer of security with consoles' own networks.
Also, even on dedicated servers the admins can see all IP addresses as well.
Because they only need to "appear" to be doing something to non-gamer Investors.
