Any idea about what I can do to fix this?

I would extract the .rar archive with all the files into my root directory for GTA 5 to reinstall right? I will check for an update.

The only files you need for scripthook itself are:
dinput8.dll
ScriptHookV.dll

I'm pretty sure scripthook also comes with an optional trainer, but it's relatively barebones.

I'll just download the archive again and do a reinstall. What do I do with those files? "dinput8.dll and "ScriptHookV.dll"? Just curious.

This was updated September 3rd 2017. How often does it get an update? It's a very popular tool for modders so they must try to keep it up to date. Just curious on how often they do it.

No luck. What could I be doing wrong? I extracted all the files into the root directory of GTA 5. I've had this problem since September 6th I belive.

my openiv wont let me replace files even after clicking edit mode anyone knows hown to fix that???

I will start over. I will use a mod manager this time. I will report back with the results.

Ok. I tried it and it worked. But I moved the files from my documents to the root directory and the error is back. :(
Will I have to wait for an update for scripthook?

Try deleting dinput8.dll what's that deleted then open iv cannot use any modified RPF files dear God please tell me you did not just mod through the in-game files please tell me you actually made a modded folder and did the steps like I was saying once deleted you should be good to go back
playing the game back to its vanilla state also verify Integrity of game complete all those steps and you should be good to go

And if all else fails just delete open iv and wait till an update gets released

Find the files in current scripthook release- then replace'm.
Search your pc for them (ignore the ones that show up in windows folder)
(unless dear god you decided to extract to the windows / subfolders.. /facepalm)

I did not extract any of the files to my Windows folders. They're in the root folder of GTA. How can there be a conflict with my mods?

I just drag n drop the mod files into to the route directory. I did try a mod manager. But I've gone back to just dragging and dropping the files in the root directory. I tried verifying the Integrity of the game files. No luck.
