personally the NPC in this are fine.
There is no armor that doubles in freeroam mode.
Enemies have rediculously good aim and seemingly are using much more powerful weapons (often using desert eagles).
I stole a car once, drove up a mountain, enemies gathered at teh bottom and started shooting me from hunders of meters away and hitting me just fine...with pistols.
You just need to adjust your playstyle a bit and indeed use cover more and play more carefully but imo it did not make the experience any better.
Its just silly and rather cheap imo.
Hell most of the time the only sensible thing to do is just to run/drive/fly away, lots of fun I know....
yeah to me its kinda proof that R* just upped the freeroam AI in a cheap way.
The scripted Heists they have abandoned a long time ago are their own thing so you can get a feel of how things used to be doing those.
I keep saying it, R* is just rather incompetent.
Im not saying creating a fun challenge is not difficult, but just upping agression and accuracy to rediculous levels is not the answer ever.
even streetthugs have perfect aim so it is a noticible problem. people said that with military vehicles we shouldnt complain but not everyone has access and you cant use that kind of weapons in Import Export missions...
oh and combined with the fact that some bots even spawn behind the player and start instantly shooting makes the hole thing worse (MC Mission, Cracked was it i think. The mission with the safe)
but i don't mind the difficulty in them being able to kill in a few hits however i usually survive at least 5-6 hits before i die.
if anything i think it just promotes the use of actually using cover an thinking out the best way to accomplish your objective. admittedly in the most annoying way possible.
but i don't think its that bad.
the only npc i'd like nerfed is the car sales npc cause theres literally no way to avoid them.
if you out run them they spawn in front of you. if you stay with in sight of the ones behind you they constantly chip away at your profits. if you kill them , they still respawn , the whole time reducing your profit margin.
other wise i like the difficulty
Not only that, but the argument that you need to get a freaking tank... is A rediculous and B zaps the fun right out of the game for me.
As a person who spent years playing this on Free Aim, this ♥♥♥♥ is getting old. This and Rapid Firing of AI (Which is the rate of fire of a Minigun coming from a Carbine Rifle / Pistol) is making me wander off from Heists in general. You can google or search youtube for the proof.
PvP isnt any different since the mod menu's getting more common and every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with a sniper rifle sticking out of their ass keen to turn the game into a CSGO match.
Dont take this the wrong way, but if you're using the Armored Kuruma, it must be like bread and butter since its the MMO Mentality. Other than that, they buffed the AI. Look out for the Rapid Firing Carbine Wielding on the Roof at Van Setup, and the Merryweather AI guarding the helicopters in the Valkyrie setup.
I recently started doing Import/Export missions and never had issues surviving some NPCs the 1800 hours before that.
Don't get me wrong, of course you take cover during PvP or heists but you shouldn't have to do that for 2-3 gangsters with pistols...
but it also looks like heavy combat outfit is buged sometimes
dont now if the scriptkids have a new option to troll
..Then Lamarr's missions knock at your doorstep with these pricks going Navy Seals, No matter what cover you're in. I'm rather jealous actually.
But yes I agree some npcs are completely unfair on how their accuracy is. For example the npcs that are encountered during export missions like the Karin Kuruma hideouts are the worst.
