I know it's a silly stupid question, but I don't have a life, and it's really bothering me.
Obviously his associates, like Michael, know, but at least twice I've had complete strangers mention it to him.

I live on the border and I see Canadians all the time, and never have I noticed anything with the way they look or act that would lead a stranger to know they were from Canada.

I believe that Trevor said something along the lines that he was born in the Canadian-side of the USA while you're driving him to Los Santos before he reunites with Michael in the Story Mode.

I remember going, "What in the world is Canadian-side of the USA?" when I heard him say something like it ... LOL

i think he has an incredibly subtle accent and pronounces a couple words weird, but you don't hear him say them very much so it's easy to miss
