Permanently lost a few weapons in gta online. What can I do to fix it?

So I was just playing normally in gta online, but at some point (after I'd gotten kicked from a lobby by who I assume was a modder) I noticed that a bunch of my weapons were missing. All my alien guns were gone, including some of my unique weapons like the navy revolver and my golf club.

I rebought the alien guns, which were already pretty expensive, but I have no idea if I'll be able to get stuff like the navy revolver back, and I have no idea if I'm missing anything else.

I've tried restarting my game numerous times, and that doesn't fix the problem. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to try and contact support?

I think you can get them back at a weapon cache in certain Facility you have

Nope it's normal, that's because a modder gave em to you, happens all the time . R* does a purge once in a while or playing missions like Buzzer beater removes them.

Never seen a weapon that we buy being removed. Modder gave me that alien gun around xmas and that navy gun, revolver was possibly an event weapon tho. Had to buy the alien pistol legit

Yeah, they haven't which is really odd. I've completely closed the game multiple times and it still hasn't fixed it.

That's not the case though. I've had those weapons for a long time, years at this point (I only started playing again recently). I'm a high level player and I definitely would have bought them all, in fact I even remember doing so.

Especially when it comes the navy pistol, I'm sure I would have done that, because I've never taken anything from modders. I even took a look at where the clues to get it are supposed to be ingame and they aren't there, which I assume means that I've already completed the challenge.

Modders include ammo and new arsenal in your loadout without notice and we forget about this bullcrap. One of the alien weapon is only a few weeks old so you cant have that for years.

If you really bought them , try a run of Buzzer beater or restart social club . Or send a ticket to R . In fact, Reminds me of something that happened to me several years ago. I didn't know modders can still delete guns perment. They will send you cash to cover the cost of buying it again

Alright, thanks for the detailed response. If there was an alien gun released a few weeks back then I wouldn't have had that one yet, just talking about the older weapons.

you're mistaken and mis-remembering then. You definitely did not purchase them. For them to disappear like this, a modder had to have given them to you (they can do this without your knowledge or you noticing it initially). It very well could have happened years ago.

more likely what you're remembering is having purchased different skins for them from ammunation which you can do with the mod gifted guns.

if you're that worried about the Navy Revolver, don't be, as you will likely get it mod gifted to you again. they do it all the time. they'll go and gift an entire session every weapon or more rarely is the opposite where they take everyones weapons away.

I'm level 150 in the game, I literally remember buying the weapons, and I even remember being hesitant about it because of how much money they cost. There's no doubt in my mind that I did buy it, it wasn't gifted to me by a mod.

honestly it might be a new feature of their menus
who knows. as i'v personally never had the special guns like the three pistols
and the hatchet disappear permanently, nor any other gun that i bought legit
they always come back when switching sessions or restarting the game.

Try verify GTAV gamefiles.
I had my wepons ,cars ,apartment removed once....long ago.
If you lucky its just a corrupt file that need to be correted and wont take long ( 2-5 mins )

memory is often unreliable at best and outright falsified at worst. there are tons of studies on false memories you can read about. the fact is, weapons purchased legitimately to your account cannot be removed by modders.

The Navy revolver is a different circumstance as it's not a purchasable weapon and therefore does not get stored on your account data in quite the same way. As far as i can tell, the Navy revolver CAN be removed by modders even if you did the Slasher quest to acquire it.

As for the unholy hellbringer, widowmaker, and up-n-atomizer... now that you have legitimately purchased them we can even test to verify that they will now never go missing from your account. we can have a modder wipe your weapon wheel yet again and then when you switch sessions you will see them return (because now you actually own them).

I have a pretty clear memory of going into ammunation at level 120 and buying/customising every weapon to get a completed inventory (because I wanted to wait till the last weapon unlocks). But even if I have somehow gotten that completely wrong, the money doesn't matter to me, I've already repurchased the alien weapons. I just care about unique items like the navy revolver and any other unique items that I might be missing that I can't simply repurchase. Is there a way to get those back without having a modder mess with my inventory?

I don't even know if it was a modder who removed my weapons or not, I didn't lose my weapon wheel in a session or anything like that. I just remember checking my inventory and seeing less items then I had before.

If weapons don't appear after disabling custom loadout then cheaters gave you them in the first place no matter what you "remember". End of story.

As for the alien weapons, had you contacted them before buying them they would have checked to see whether your account ever actually purchased them. individuals in the past who have come here also claiming they remember purchasing them were told by support the account doesn't show it, but due to the inconvenience of having weapons they had for years suddenly disappear, support ended up gifting them the GTA $ to their account to buy them as a "one time courtesy". I bet they would likely refund you the money you just spent if you did the same thing and made a big deal about it.

I still feel like I did buy them, but I don't see any point in really arguing about it, it's irrelevant anyway. The only reason I feel pretty strongly about it is because I never take stuff from modders, free weapons, money drops or whatever, so it's not something I would have willingly gotten if so.

Eitherway, as I said I've already rebought them so getting a refund honestly doesn't matter to me. I've got enough money and I'm high level so it was easy to buy new ones.

All I really care about is the unique weapons I lost, the ones that I can't just buy back. I'll take another look at all the different navy revolver clue locations in case I am actually wrong about having done the missions, but I'll contact rockstar about it if I'm not able to get those unique items back ingame.
