Zombits, I wouldn't use lap time testing of all vehicles overall as being so definitive a judgement. I mean the open wheel cars have top speeds that are average/mediocre compared to many sports cars in the game and, for instance, there's some street/highway-focused time trials you can't accomplish with them, including the BR8, speaking from first hand experience. Broughy's test track also isn't what I'd consider reflective of common racing scenarios in GTAO, at least those generally made by Rockstar, but simply serves as a way to try to fairly compare vehicles whose strength is good cornering and those that have strong top speed.
If you're gonna race on a track made of mostly straights like in stunt races whatever or spend most of your time on highway then it's not the fastest of course
It was tested indeed by Broughy and it beats the Vigilante.
When i drive this BR8, of course this thing is overkill because it's an F1 , but many times i thought i had to break but it can take 90 % of curves at full speed without slowing down ,unless it's a U turn. It also has a boosts if you need it . It can also break from full speed to zero in a split sec
My finding using Broughy's master testing spreadsheet for the BR8's top speed:
- Counting all vehicles in-game, including aircraft and watercraft, it's at #126
- Excluding aircraft and watercraft, it's #78
For the general freeroam use case you described, I'd say instead Krieger, Emerus or Pariah would be ideal. They also don't have problems when striking a curb.
It really depends on the track and where you drive . Anywhere in the city , again, BR8 will beat any cars you listed.
Personally if i have to move 10 km north in the desert i use a chopper anyway or move with sub
Edit: Why not ask Broughy that in a comment on one of his videos? He often replies when I've chimed in there with a question, though he did just get married and might still be honeymooning.
Yea I googled it and the difference is minimal, it's just like all other supercars.

Keep laughing , i'll be glued to the road while you can't keep up and end up in the ditch.
only if you don't crash in traffic in first place XD
You'll bite the dust unless it's a straight race on the highway, not even close.
I have tested again the krieger right now and a single bump on the road makes it lose control, end up in a spin for no reason . The downforce on BR8 is astonishing and even a newbie can control this car after learning it . You can break from 116 MPH to zero in 0.2 seconds , allows for any mistake and avoid crashes. Downforce i used is in middle, haven't played with settings yet and could improve top speed

I have tested it and it works.
I don't brag about anything, LOL, i take his own work and then test it myself.
You just can't beat a Formula 1 when there is a lot of cornering, unless you want to re-invent the wheel and make a new Formula ?
