Are The Sparrow's missiles supposed to be awful?

This thing cannot hit anything that isn't stationary. Anyway... some buzzard ai kept circling my garbage helicopter that cannot hit anything for jack and sniped me out of the cockpit.. so... i guess i have 100 gigs of free space again. What to play next?

It just takes some timing and correct angling. Also what was the job? For the most part you can ignore enemy helis

It was the job where i need to get the sonar jammer for Cayo. My missiles kept tactically dodging the chopper, then they flew up to me at lightning speed and they sniped me out of the cockpit.
Just can't be assed to put up with cheating ai anymore. Spawning right next to me, having god-like aim, doing more damage than the weapon they are equipped with should be capable of, rubber-banding...
Just can't take it anymore. Gotta be honest, i was having one hell of a time even with all that when i wasn't really invested into the game.
Once you start grinding, these things get in the way big time and ruins the fun.

Well you are doing that prep wrong. Just fast travel to the site with kosatka. Swim to the submarine (can optionally kill the boats/helis while swimming closer). Submerge (the closer you get to another sub the better), activate auto pilot. Exit kosatka and swim to the enemy sub. Grab sonar. Swim back without even need to go to surface.
Or even better, buy phantom wedge and do longfin prep.

I did fast travel. Usually, i would shoot them all down with the chopper then get right on top of the sub with the dinghy, swim down, clear the sub, swim up, return to kostaka with the dinghy.
For some reason, the game removes my swimsuit when doing this mission, so i drown if i stay under water for too long.
I guess i could have gotten the sub for the kosatka but i didn't want to waste more money than i already did.

At this point, any excuse for this game is just a cope to keep playing it. I don't wanna cope. I'll just move on. Probably Conan Exiles... maybe... maybe.

Just kill stuff with kosatka itself and don't use other vehicles, it just wastes time. And tbh you can skip blowing up those boats etc altogether, if you park close to enemy submarine (under water) you need to swim very short distance and they barely hit you or won't hit at all.
As for scuba you can always buy personal scuba suit and make outfit. Equip it when doing preps and won't have such problems.

I also tried to do vehicle sourcing missions and the enemy chooper kamikaze'd into my car that was parked a distance away, lol.
I just really do not want to deal with the AI anymore. It goes out of it's way to make you miserable.
When most of your effort goes into avoiding interaction with the world, then why are you there to begin with?
As i said, when i had no stakes in the game, it was a blast. My only regret is changing that.
Ruined my fun with all these attempts at optimization, grinding and meta'ing. Blegh.

you just fly away from them waste of time hanging around fighting helis that keep respawning

No no. I wasn't fighting those. 1 heli just spawns there along with 3 boats. You can take them out and they wont spawn more till after you took the jammer.
I tend to take them out since the 1 heli that spawns there is rigged and can easily snipe you out of the dhingy.
The boats can be a pest too at close range.

yeah dont die on that that heli is an ass if you dont jump off jet ski right away and head under water
best to drive up to those in the sub take out heli and boats and try not to die down below in sub
but dont matter now as you have uninstalled game

Was getting repetetive anyway. Doing Cayo 5-6 times a day is boring. It is the most efficient way to make money. Second best way would be to source cars, but after watching that military chopper purposefully dive into the car half a kilometer away just to ruin it gave me a clear hint that the AI will do everything in it's power to make those quests a miserable time.
I'd rather avoid such grievances atm.
