(and 1-2 of them were a 64bit cpu, not OS.. anyways...)
I'd point to problems with your os, drivers, background programs. Verify cache is typically the default goto on anything - before even searching. Could probably try cleaning registry or a sfc /scannow and see if those correct anything.
Additionaly - a year? - did you previously use any mods? Can easily "verify/clean your folder" by deleting any file in the GTAV root folder that IS NOT A .RPF file AND is NOT a folder. Then verify cache. (and on some.. systems *cough* sometimes files there are hidden /smh)
Edit - looked in my history for recent posts. Early Aug - both had redone hdd with 32bit =\
OS, cpu, whatever it's supposed to be. I haven't had to do many of these, so the correct terminology isn't fully set into my vernacular yet. I can understand it just fine, but the wording on my end isn't always right.
I did an sfc /scannow with Overwatch about two weeks ago because I was having a similar problem with that from the Blizzard app. Didn't come up with anything, and an update on the game later in the day ended up fixing the issue, so I never figured out what to do to fix it. Also cleaned out cache files in both the Blizzard app and the Overwatch folder, but neither made any difference.
I haven't modded the game at all in the entire time I've had it (I estimated a year or so. Probably longer. Didn't want to take the time to figure out a more precise timeframe), so that's off the list.
I almost want to blame it on the new hard drive I moved all my games to. I had been working off of a 2TB Western Digial external drive, but that was starting to crap out and fill up, so I recently upgraded to a 6TB WD external drive. So far I've only had issues with Overwatch and (now) GTA V.
Edit: The file verification ended up working. I posted here before it finished because it tends to take a little bit and I didn't want to waste time only to potentially find out there was nothing to reaquire. Thank you muchly for your help, though.
