Dont bother trying FiveM...
Omg... so terrible.... servers r empty mostly and game crash many many times... if u do find 1 server with players on it, the ppl on it r such toxic rubbish... no1 care about new players... no1 help eachother... totally the worst kind of toxic u find in GTAO... such a waste of time... better to deal with GATO even its so many headaches...

Shows why it crashes all the time and has bugs, things are added that shouldn't be there and impact the performance.
hm reminds me to the official servers and its performance problems from time to time
for example after release of ill gotten gains dlc
all the bugs related to the businesses

do you want a small overview?

The bikers DLC has lots of bugs. Like:

If you do a Bikers sell mission where it gives you multiple bikes. If the furthest one is delivered sometimes it considers the mission over even though there is still product to sell.

Sometimes it will place a vehicle in a place that cannot be gotten to. Sometimes it will spawn them upside down. All bugs.

Even though the game will happily produce Bikers Business product from your Supplies while doing other things, it will not start the production until you get a text from LJT saying that things are working. You must be MC for 10-11 minutes continuous. If he fails to send it after 15 minutes. Reboot and try again.

Businesses are buggy in general. If you join a new session or anything else it will start the clock over. Weed farm most of all.

While MC President you must make sure that if you ordered supplies you get a text from LJT that they have arrived. This takes about 10 minutes.

You must also wait for a text message from LJT that the staff have arrived. 10 mins. With the same note about the clock restarting upon changes.

Payouts to MC Members on sales is buggy. Sometimes it follows the formula below...the rest of the time it just completely makes up payouts.

The amount of bars stealing supplies gives is kinda random. Don't expect firm info on what they give.

If you do "Join Friends" or "Join Crew" the game will sometimes think you are not in a public session. Just join a specific crew member or friend to clear it up.

Retrieving a Vehicle from a Garage disables Engine EMS Upgrades. Mechanic/Assistant Delivery Unaffected. OP )

Sometimes the Coke factory will glitch and keep producing product without consuming stock. (possibly)

With I/E update sometimes stealing and delivering supplies will not fill the bars properly.

If something happens that does not seem right during a Bikers Business Pickup or Delivery, it is a BUG. It works just fine most of the time for everyone else. No need to ask...it is a BUG.

many more were added with other dlc's
for example entering moc can be hard from time to time
research wont finish correctly and so on

Won't last long? sa-mp (GTA San Andreas multiplayer modification) has been around for more than 11 years and is still continuing on. It's only the beginning for FiveM.
If it's illegal for it to exist, it'll be forcefully shut down. The only possible way for it to continue to exist is if

a. it's not actually in breach of any terms of use.
b. the creator/s have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good lawyers who manage to find a good loophole.
c. Two Take decide they don't mind. I doubt this will happen.

If it's illegal and they ignore a cease and desist order, they'll not only be forced but will also get sued. Assuming their regular guys with regular jobs, I doubt they're going to risk that for a game mod considering they'd lose, well, probably everything.

Just out of curiousity, what is exactly the appeal of scripted RP?

I do RP in GTA:O, or it's mostly whatever I feel like. At times I'm freelancing and helping CEO for instance. I played "Hearse operator" with a friend. Going over the map as Weasel newsreported in a helicopter, playing a scumbag (I know, that's what most people do;)

I mean, it's an openworld without rules. Do what you want how you like it. Or is it about the reward ($$$) ?

I played it once at a friends house 🏡.
Played exactly 25-30 min and turned it off, havent played something so awful in a long time.

95% of the servers are empty and the rest what is moderated by a person is abused to bits, you get basically kicked out for not wanting to do stuff or they just dont like you or you're attitude.

Give a moderator the power of kick ingame and he will abuse it and thats a fact not fiction.
You can't say this unless you have tried literally every server in existence. There would be good servers, otherwise people would not speak highly of some they have been on.

The comment about all moderators abusing their powers is simply incorrect. I've been on plenty of servers accross multiple games and have been on a few where players would verbally abuse the admins. The admins gave them multiple warnings before punishing them.

People probably like having rules to break. I used to play the life mod on ArmA 3. Not anymore but when I did it was pretty fun. It was rp'ing real life, not sure if that's what fivem does.

Take 2 attemped it in 2015
you know barbara streisand effect
you can attempt to sue the creator, when he lives in the USA
trying to persecute them in other countries(china, russia, north korea, iran) is a complete other story

same problem as in every other branch,
when artist interest collide with business men thoughts

Im saying this based over the countless games I played that had been moderated by a human being.
All of them had a serious issues. In the end some games scrapped the EM and removed it completely from the game and implemented a votekick system you see today in gtaO.

They won't mess with FiveM anymore. They already did send PI to the creators of FiveM some time ago. They closed it. And now it's up again. Where there is one way how to protect something, there are a hundred more ways how to go around the protection. GTA Online won't be a lifetime thing. They will close it some time. And FiveM will keep on growing. When GTA Online will be closed, FiveM will be a big incentive for a person to get GTA V, where only GTA V would not be so attractive without a multiplayer. That would mean more profit for Take Two/Rockstar.
I ment, there is nothing wich withhold you from stealing a copcar and acting like a cop (I do understand the annoyance of no uniforms). Or an ambulance or firetruck. Sure, another player will most likely blow you up but that doesn't mean it ends there.

I've played Taxi driver in a yellow ratrod. Payment was an issue, a few just commited suicide (ingame) and told me to keep the change.

Santa had a nice cargobob last christmas. My level 666 was truelly enjoyable (for me and friends, oke not for all my friends;)

I've seen more people do similar things aswell.

More mature people wanted to get away from GTA Online nonsense and play a multiplayer that is better than GTA Online. More mature people don't like the pew pew stuff. They prefer to actually interact with people, have a talk, actually have some fun doing something other than shooting/killing someone. But that doesn't mean that FiveM is all about roleplay. I don't actually like roleplay, because it's too much for a person who doesn't really have a lot of free time. So people create servers similar to roleplay ones, but have only a light strictness of roleplay. So you don't have to actually write anything in the chat, there are way less rules to follow. Basically more freedom to the player. Any kind of gamemode can be created. It's just a matter of time when FiveM will have those kind of servers.

If a person switches to something he is interested into way more than what he has been playing before, that means the person is brain dead? Kids these days...
