Can't buy GTA V on steam?

I already own the game but i was trying to convince my friends to get it and i was considering gifting it to them but when we all checked the GTA V store page the normal version of the game was just missing entirely, only the bundle with the game included. Apparently it hasn't been on sale normally since Jan 20. Does anyone know what happened?

My guess is that it's because the bundle is priced for a penny less than the base game, at least here in the U.S., and maybe Steam does something to prevent complaints/refunds if someone were to pay more for only the base game by mistake. In any case, I think it's best to wait until they do the usual 50% discount, which seems to show up quite often.

guys could you help me i had a problem. a few weeks ago i got gta 5 but i only found the premium edition i downloaded it and once turned on it directed me to rockstar and it wouldn't open. rockstar said the mode was currently unavailable

Rockstar removed the standard version on purpose.

For one, they can continue to charge the same price, justifying it with the added bundle bonus stuff.

But also, and probably more importantly, the bonus stuff can't be refunded, thus, the whole bundle can't be refunded.

game and dlc are combined you cant just buy dlc alone

Game is bundled with dlc if you buy to avoid refunds, they are free yes but you can't just buy the game.

By DLC they mean the "Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack", which is just a bundle of useless cars, propeties and microtransaction cash.

All the content updates over the years have always been free.
