I’m afraid mods of any kind are verboten in GTA Online. Good thing it stopped you as getting in and having that detected could very well result in a temporary ban and character reset or permaban.

Cosmetic mods are not bannable offence Rockstar allows you to use mods that just change the texture

That’s entirely incorrect for GTA Online. Mods are fine in offline, but using an altered version of any sort online is a big no-no and likely to result in harsh punishment.

Cosmetic are allowed Rockstar doesn't ban you for them because they just change the texture script based mods are bannable

Cosmetic mods are allowed, but not the ones that can give you an advantage against other players like the one that lets you adjust the FOV.

any mod with OpenIV will give you this error
it's for your own good. don't try to mod the online.

They are not lying to you, no mods are allowed online, none.

In the fine print, any changes to the game files will result in a ban if it is detected while playing online. Are there mods that go undetected? Yes, definitely a lot of them. I mod all the time and the fact is I've gone through 13 different gta accounts because I have been banned for modding and going online. Was it worth it? Oh yeah, the amount of fun I've had was worth every penny. It's all up to you and your personal thoughts on is it worth the possibility of getting banned. Visual mods wouldn't be for me tho.

this is a blatant lie dude, don't quit your day job.

you're pretty lucky they actively block you from doing it or else you'd be banned by now.

Yeah you can’t “roll the dice” since they’re doing you a favor by blocking you from going online with mods.

It doesn’t matter which mods you have, you get banned if you take them with you online.
