It started happening after the update on thursday too though, and I had the exact same problem during the last big general crash events after the release of the Casino DLC in 2019 (had a 970 back then).
It happens once or twice daily, mostly during the scope out on Cayo Perico. But also once on the dancefloor of my Nightclub and one time when on CCTV during a break. Luckily this error does not actually crash the game, it puts the game from fullscreen in windowed mode with this pop up in the middle of the screen. I am then still able to finish what I'm doing and save before clicking OK and closing the game.
Anyone else?
i am currently using 461.40 drivers and this is after i rolled back from the most recent one, 461.72, thinking that was the issue. it wasnt, still crashes. i cant get anything done on gta online, it is frustrating!
glad and sad that im not the only one experiencing these crashes.
edit: went through event viewer and saw this for GTA5
"Faulting application name: GTA5.exe, version: 1.0.2215.0, time stamp: 0x601317d1
Faulting module name: GTA5.exe, version: 1.0.2215.0, time stamp: 0x601317d1
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000004a9612f
Faulting process id: 0xe88"
Definitely not an issue related to RTX or Nvidia.
