Choosing Custom Cars

I'm fairly new to racing and customized three Sports Cars but only one shows up when it comes to choosing them when the race allows Custom cars. Why don't the other two show up as a choice?

Could the missing ones perhaps be Sports Classics, which is a separate class from Sports? Some special vehicles are also given a vehicle class, but then blocked from being used in any races. Which cars have you not been able to select to race with?

make sure the cars you want to race are in your heist garage

These are the cars that I have and like on the Super cars, when a race allows them, only one pops up in the choice option. Would the heist garage be in the Arcade, I may just try one car in there and see if it chooses it.

It's hard to track which ones don't show up but I'm trying to monitor it. I don't have any labeled Classics.
Any help/hint is appreciated.

Hmmm. That's odd about the Bifta and Rapid GT not being shown as choices when the race matches each one's class, Off Road and Sports respectively. Far as I can tell, they should be fine to race with.

One sports car on your list did jump out as being potentially problematic, the Paragon R, if it's the armored version. That is blocked from racing, the one you receive at the end of the Casino Penthouse missions, but the regular Paragon R is allowed and I've used it a handful of times myself in races.

That's also a very solid collection of cars, especially what you have for the Super class, and some decent contenders in Sports. As you work on expanding the collection, you might find Broughy1322's vehicle testing spreadsheet a valuable resource: https://broughy.com/gta5carsoverview

He ranks all the vehicles in GTA Online how they perform on a test track with a mix of straights and turns, as well as how they compare to one another for top speed, and does separate out vehicles that are non-raceable, those flagged with "NR" beside the class.

Thanks for the info, as I keep monitoring the race set ups, it now appears that it picks only one car in its class of owned cars as a choice when customized cars are allowed. In the Sports category it almost consistently picks the INVETERO COQUETTE D10, SPORTS and the other two are not on the list.

How can I find out which cars are locked?
I did a test and played a few races by myself which allowed me to extend the time it takes to load the choice window and eventually the cars appeared. I then joined a race and was able to choose the car I wanted so maybe the problem is fixed now.
