How to know if someone is cheating?

I think it's just gotten so bad even normally legit players have just given up and either quit or went and gotten their own hacks to fight back.

Every third person I've killed in this game (started playing with friends a week ago) so far has just ran off stood somewhere I can't shoot them..and then i just explode over and over and over...
I mostly keep my head down because I'm noob, but I'll occasionally do a bit of battle when I'm bored, so my sample size may not be huge, but it's enough to see the trend.
-player dies to X
- runs to safety
-tabs out to turn on cheats (or type in idk how it works, but clearly takes them a moment to enable)
- bs starts happening

starting to just play in a closed lobby unless friends are on. the hackers and the griefers make the game just feel terrible.

Everyone and their mums cheats on GTA Online. Never seen so much cheating in a game ever.

I can confirm this is true.

I personally know people who never even considered cheating in a game until they were exposed to GTA online, and now they use cheats in multiple games.

There are still some who play clean,, But cheating players are prevalent .

There are tons of obvious tells.
Stats that don’t add up, like Rank 305 but no skill development or vehicles.
Stats show no vehicles but they are spawning planes choppers cars etc.
They Teleport around the map or to you.
The avatar doesn’t rag doll when it should.
They drop cash or RP
They spawn multiple vehicles at once.
They take no damage god mode or in god mode vehicles .
They have perfect aim instant head shots with all weapons.
They have explosive MG rounds, or spray RPGs like smg rounds.
The name is in colored text.
Many talk about their menu use openly/

When cheaters just come in and mess up the session , Screw with weather, mass kill every one etc. if you're in a lobby with multiple unknown players its not always clear who is doing it. because rather than determining which player is cheating it's which of the cheaters is causing the trouble.,

Higher ranked players have more health, better weapons ”some with explosive or incendiary rounds” , some aim advantage do to stat development, also things like thermal scope/helmet, or BST “BST allows them to take and deal more damage than normal” these can all provide strong advantages. that could look like cheating when its not.. But the kind of toxic players who repeatedly use this stuff to hunt down and go after new players unprovoked are likely cheating as well.

check their k/d ratio, check in the menu > online > players > player name

k/d 5.0 probably cheating or easy way out tryhard
k/d 10.0 most likely cheating
k/d 15.0+ definitely cheating

anytime some modder is messing with server there is always some players with ridiculous k/d like 50.0

Just check their stats.

If they have a very high K/D, their're cheatin by either using mods, exploits or leaving lobby after killing someone.

If they're Level 8000 they are cheating, since it's not possible reaching the level in a legit way.

Look at their appearance in the player list: in case they have invisible extremeties, they're cheating.

Check the map. If someone is begging for money and some time later he's along with some others at one spot for a longer period of time, he's along with a cheater.

I doubt, orbital him.
if he survives without actual being in an RC car or a special vehicle, he's cheating using god mode

Some cheaters don't even care if you know he's a cheater and you might investigate him using your TV.

Just look up the player. If they have a way to high KD they are probably modders. From my experience i can tell; Everything with a KD of 2.0+ is a griefer and everything with a KD of 4.0+ is a modder. (I´ve once seen someone witrh a KD of 1,6million)
Also players with way to high lvl are mostly modders. Sometimes lvl 400+ players are just normal players, but they play the game for years (like me). If someone is, for example, lvl 300 but his account was created yesterday, hes a modder!
