Velum handing - what even the fk is going on (more and more frustration venting)
Right so i play this game for years(Since PC release, i have it on DvDs even!)
But Velum bothers me more and more.
Most planes appear to have inexplicably frequent turbulances, but velum seems to take it the worst, and it seems to be dessigned to have less updraft and kinda keeps nosediving.

What could possibly be reason for such a horrid dessign? its not like you can master it, the plane will wobble and nosedive no matter what you try. The damned thing can not even sustain a modest climb FFS!!!

Hold w all the time, but don't hold nose up continuously, do short holds/taps to gain altitude.

Why would anyone fly this outside of Prison Break? I dont seem to notice any excessive nose dive. But it has way more turbulence, i presume that was due to its use in missions to make it more challenging.

Required for flying to Cayo Perico for scoping.

And you go up and fly south, no big deal and no excessive nose dive. Your not doing anything or avoiding any missiles or jets, you literally just fly outside the map. OP just wants to be lazy and let it auto pilot to the point. Go up high enough and you still can.

The velum in the Cayo Perico heist is designed to be slower and heavier, but it is able to take more explosive damage than the regular velum. It keeps on nose diving due to is weird weight that has been put on, at the benefit of being able to tank 2-3 missiles I would say before exploding. Anyways, it is annoying but here is how I do it. Fly low for a while until you gather enough speed in order to ascend. I also suggest going ghost and off radar to prevent chumps from going after you.

Given my level that is where i end up most of the times during PB (add to that the bloody Rashkovsky bug and you get some incling how irritating it is).

I generaly dont mind the role but utterly despise the velum itself as its being needlessly difficult to fly.

Best advice RE: all aircraft in GTA
Don't. They fekkin' suck. Their controls are utter fecal matter. It would just fekkin' kill Rockstar to make aircraft as easy to manage as Volition makes them in Saints 3&4, wouldn't it? I swear to God, and this is NO exaggeration: Learning to fly actual aircraft is way, way easier in real life...but it's a bit backwards because choppers are harder than fixed-wing aircraft to comfortably control, not like in the games.

Exactly. The only point of OP being that the Velum is easier to stall during takeoff to V1 speed when compared to just about every other aircraft - you can takeoff without pulling back on the controls

The main reason as to why randoms fail the Prison Break finale so much is that they literally crash the plane if they aren’t shot down by Lazers. You will stall out of the sky if you turn when you takeoff.

And look who’s back to cringey ♥♥♥♥ posting after taking a week long break after being canceled in a thread. You just couldn’t resist coming back, could you

I’m pretty sure flying in real life is harder since it takes more than a mouse and pressing G and S to pull up the gear and deploying speed brakes. Your lack of knowledge is more cringey than your excessive use of italics and bold font along with “fekkin” and “?” marks.

If you want to ♥♥♥♥ post then do it on your own website or go to the proper Reddit handle - I can schedule a Zoom session and help you do it for free so you don’t come back

I generaly dislike the handling, especialy the way plane keeps bothering the controls, sometimes i want to say chat during PB, especialy if rookies are in the Prisoner/Officer role and sometimes i want to whine about Rasky bug.

i am very active in chatting (as this bloody topic proves), i mostly just wanted to vent however, aint noone fixing the infuriating controlls. Its not too bad most of the time, but since i cheifly rando join groups i tend to get more than one PB finale a session, compounding the frustration.

As for handling i am not a rookie i do fly behind jets all the time, even do so at very high altitude to prevent demo from killing the jet.

My main gripe is the atrocious aerodynamics of spefcificaly vellum, some problems are common across multiple planes, i have yet to notice any problems with Biplane, L-159 and Harrier but i do not fly those that offten.
See planes constantly bugging me is somethng i can manage (even my prefered rotary plane the cesna dose that) but unlike that the vellum is far more violent AND frequent, it dose get grating.

I do appretiate posts of people who genuinely try to help offcourse so please do not feel like i am dismissing you i am just very very angry at the game's BS.

If you play 3 PB finales, each for an hour a day it WILL grate on you. especialy if you are always the pilot.Well at least it dose so for me.

Appretiate the effort of explaning it, but do not pressume i am laizy just because you would be.
There is alot of heisting i do, and since i join random parties i end up in various difficult or broken missions more offten, if this comes up i end up getting frustrated. Here is proof that i know what i am doing incase you are doubting me:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vJ_AQgF3fk&list=PLxIQPSFn2bUzLis4CD1nmWC4ygHFFaP6Q&index=13

This thread is mostly a rant about how stupid some dessign things in the game are, i find it frustrating that it made it this deep, instead of an actual challange the heist designer opted for lazy bad handling option. But what would i expect from people that did pacific standard Vans setup (the one where half of the party are navigators and other half is useless).
