Hold left click? Just a single tap? I've gotten this advice before and I can't seem to get it to work. The house just controls my camera no matter what I do as opposed to controlling the plane.
The left mouse is the stick, you use that to control the plane to wherever you want to go.
... BUT
If you get a Game controller, with GTA5 it's not either.. or.
What I'm saying is if you plug in a USB controller let's say and just keep it close by you can still use the Key board as normal. When you have to fly just pick up the Controller and use it. The two devices seamlessly hand off to each other as soon as utilized.
I still sometimes plug mine in if for say I'm going to be doing some Dog Fighting with fixed wing Aircraft. Me personally I kind of like the Key Board for Choppers, but with just a little time you can get down in a Chopper with the Controller.
Here is an example when i did the LS Flight School I did it 100% with my cheapie Controller.
Next option is remap without seeing your key layout impossible to suggest a for sure alternatives to default. BUT ..... O - K - ; - L
In place of ... 8 - 4 - 6 - 5
might not conflict with anything default I can think of.
Haha this mooostly works. Only issue is it's SUPER sensitive so precise turns are rough. And landing is impossible for me. But thank you!
S is also used as speed brakes to slow down when landing.
WASD & mouse - all you need.
its not really hard, can be done ( i do it when my controller is dead)
but controller is recomended for smoother flying controls
think about it irl pilots use a joystick to fly their planes not keys
why would you use keys to fly a plane when irl a joystick gives you more control
controller is best flying control
keyboard 2nd best for flying
mouse is dead last, you get literally zero control smoothness when flying a heli
