Don't usually make any changes, plus it basically was working as usual on the evening and next morning the issue appeared. Will try double checking the firewall settings though and port-forwarding. Will update if I find a solution.
1) Used a different device (laptop) on the same network to try and connect to a session, it worked fine (Maybe the very fact my character got into a session on a different device unblocked the barricades of hell, who knows)
2) After the successful connection I tried comparing the firewall settings on both devices and the only change i made was *untick* a couple of checkboxes. Basically, both devices had 3 instances of GTA V on the firewall. The sequence which made it work for me was:
1st instance - Enable and allow private & public
2nd instance - Enable and allow private
3rd instance - Disable with public being allowed
Honestly I have no knowledge on what these settings are doing but I tried explaining the best way I can.. Everything is weird but I'm glad it works.
I'll copy your post so you can mark it solved if you like.
Maybe someone with more knowledge will jump in and provide a more technical explanation.
