maybe one of the reason why there is still no cops dlc available for gta o to avoid copyright trouble, so you still have to rely on the lspdfr mod to get that feeling.

You guys are like, "Cyberpunk 2077 will kill GTA 5 and 6, create world peace, and get me a girlfriend. Rockstar will regret mistreating us!!!"
I'm pretty sure they don't regret making hundreds of millions from this game while putting in almost no effort. I don't see how anyone would.
Like, let's be realistic. I don't really see them as direct competitors, especially because the online version of Cyberpunk won't be playable at launch. It's something that's coming down the road like it did with GTA V. Maybe when we see what that looks like we can say GTA Online has competition, but until then it's a single player experience.
However, I feel like the hype is going to weigh the game down if people don't start reigning it in. They showed what it looked like on Xbox Series X and PS5 and already I see people whining and nitpicking that it's not absolutely perfect.
It's good that there's a potential competitor, but I also think it's too little too late. We're approaching this game's golden years with this latest expansion, and they likely are getting ready to jump ship for GTA 6.
What I am hopeful for is quality of life changes, and it looks like they're going in that direction so people aren't too critical of the next game's online version. It's smart, but also too little too late. The solo option for the heist is a major one, but we need so much more than that.
GTA has it's own charm, as good as CD projekt red is, it won't kill GTA. You can't replicate an "identity" that a game has.
You clearly never watch one of the trailer.. look at the NPC, they walked like GTA Vice City pedestrian.. and in that trailer you are parking in one side of the road but guess what, both side is stopped meanwhile your car is just in one side..
