Heists in order?
I'm a noob with the online mode and I don't know if I'm supposed to do the heists in order? Because I just join any lobby randomly and obviously any heist is random, but I read somewhere that you have to do them in order. How's that work? There's so many things to do and I'm confused. Currently I own a luxury apartment and an arcade, but that's it. Any tips?

If you already have a Luxury apartment, now you have to get to level 12. Eventually Lester will give you a call and tell you to go meet him at this factory, once you've done that you can now host heists from the apartment.
The first time the game will force you to go through all the heists in order (hosting them), if not (because you said that you have completed some already), you have to do them in order: Flecca, Prison, Humane, Series-A, Pac Standard. If you manage to complete all of them in order, the game will reward you with a bonus (i don't remember hoy much money, i think it's like $1M).

Now, you don't really have to do it this way, you could just join every mission in all the heists in order and you get the same bonus... BUT, if you're playing the game solo, this is not exactly an easy thing to do.

Don't bother with this if you are so new. And don't do it with randoms. Even if this is easy "challenge", you will still have a very bad time without friends.

it is only important if you want the cash bonus
1 million for the old heists for all in order
1 million for loyalty playing all the heists with the same team

500k for doomday heist

another quick beginners boost are the 6 casino missions

Thanks for the answers. I just finished the Fleeca job as a host/leader. I'm trying to get the All in order challenge, so my next step would be Prison Break, How do I trigger these missions? I know it's through Agent 14, but I can't start it in my apartment as a leader. Do you need another property to trigger it?

you simply need to wait until lester calls you there is always a little cooldown between the heists
